Squats / benching

If you put any more than 200 lbs on the squat rack it will tilt , make sure you keep weight on the leg extention rod. The bemch is not sturdy starts to wobble when benching.

Must have for a home gym

Very sturdy. Really like all the combinations of moves able to do.

Very good for beginner

This weight bench is very sturdy. It is well made. All parts fit like a glove. Excellent for beginners and home gyms with limited space. The only issue i find is the two uprights are not level when you are laying on the bench. Otherwise very good.

Missing Parts

Do not buy! I bought this and it was missing most of the hardware. Now the company is giving me a run around with sending me what I need to put this together. Buy another brand.

Great Bench

I just completed the build on my new bench. All I wish was that the parts had numbers or label to like the screws it would make someone not so handle with tools and putting things together alot more happier. I know need weights and a pole . cant wait to start using it.

Good weight bench set up

Good value. Good quality. Happy we bought it. Am worried that the bench and seat are not braced enough and will fail at some time. Company needs to design addon braces for it. Bowflex did something like that.

Love this product easy to set up. Only had it for a week let's see if it stays this way. Very fast shipping. Would definitely recommend it.

Good value for what you pay for it.

Overall satisfied. Stick with 1 inch weight as the frame starts to get creaking and slightly unstable over 185lbs. It is fitted for Olympic sized weight and can be swapped for 1 inch easily. Time to construct was good as well, under 3hrs with good instructions.

Do not buy. BUYER BEWARE

The price matching through club o is a joke. Don't buy it. Don't buy from overstock. Do your research... Overstock is usually higher than other companies and the refund/return policy is a not what you expect it to be. BUYER BEWARE

Review of Marcy MD857 Diamond Elite Olympic Weight Bench with Squat Rack

Bench is Brilliant for a home gym, works well plenty of options/positions for barbell and dumbell workouts, strong and sturdy. Comfy seat and back rest.

Broke in five minutes

After using this bench for a grand total of one set of bench presses, I noticed that the seat was rather wobbly. I looked under the bench to find that the welds holding the seat to the base had sheared straight off. I was fortunate to have been warming up with just an olympic bar, as if I had put weight on it, the seat may have fallen right off of the bench and caused an injury. The entire seat structure is held up by this one piece of thin box tube with a thin plate welded on. I have done a bit of welding myself, and the welds were done incorrectly. In addition to that, this part should have been welded on all four sides of the box tube instead of two. I doubt Marcy has any kind of quality control or safety department. Assembly took a few hours as others have said, and I was able to assemble it in its entirety by myself. Unfortunately, I now have a gigantic unusable weight bench sitting in my room. Customer service has not returned any of my calls - the only communication I have received is that the part is on backorder. Do NOT buy this product.

Good workout bench for a reasonable price

Perfect workout bench given its versatility. Does not occupy a large footprint in the gym, and you can use the end as a biceps curl machine. Stainless steel at the squat rack, looks great

Perfectfor all weight lifters

I bought this for my son who is heavy into lifting. He said it's perfect for his needs. Easy to put together, not heavy if you need to move. This is perfect for beginners as well as experience lifters.

Worth the cost

This is a great multi-purpose workout bench for the cost. It delivers on all aspects that are advertised - you just have to figure out exactly which seat positions, etc. work for you. The only things that are not so great is the incline bench position which makes it a bit difficult to lift the barbell and the leg curl orientation is a bit uncomfortable and takes getting use to. Everything else is fine after adjusting the seat and other pieces. You just have to figure out what works best for you.

Great for the price. The seat is a little bit wobbly maybe in the future they can improve on it. For someone who isn't able to get to the gym five days a week is a great investment. Would have gotten five stars but a few parts were broken so I had to call the manufacture.
