Low standard of quality these days.

Look decent, not too expensive- poorly made. I would never recommend these to a quality builder. A lot of play in the handle that cannot be corrected, poor alignment of screw holes- subsequently destroyed part of the finish during installation.

Perfect color and finish to complete the look!

We just had a complete kitchen remodel and we used these handles on adjacent bedroom and basement doors. They look amazing with our black and white kitchen theme.

Oil-rubbed bronize finish is almost matte black.

The reason for the 1-start review is only the finish. The door handle itself was top-quality. But I ordered the oil-rubbed bronze finish and it was almost the same as the matte black finish. And it didn't have any of the "rubbed" colorization in it.So, I returned the door handle and bought the same thing from KwikSet. At least as far as the oil-rubbed bronze finish goes, the KwikSet offering is way better.

My old door looks like a new door. The hardware is not only beautiful but functions perfectly.I will be changing all door hardware throughout my house with the exact hardware.

Wonderful customer service

Ordered two of these in brass. I have a couple of black doors in my house and I did this style in black on my white doors but needed brass for my black doors. Build was the only place offering this style in black. I was thrilled. Ordered two and when they came they had these strange dents all around the perimeter. I called and sent pics and they sent me two more which quickly arrived dent free. Customer service was GREAT. I am an interior designer and I use Build a lot for my clients. If there is ever a problem, they solve it immediately with 100% customer satisfaction. I will continue to work with this company for many years to come. Great service and great products.

Great Product. Durable.

I have been buying Schlage for all of my projects at home and professionally. They are easy to install, look great, and come in a variety of options. People ask about cheaper options, but I recommend going with a nice brand to get a quality product. Those cheap handles break with normal wear and tear, but not these.

Weird defect on rose plate

Horrible indentation on the rose plate of all 21 door knobs. If you have an eye for detail and hate stuff like that, don't buy these. Schlage says it's necessary to grip the rose plate to the iron plate behind it. Never seen a door knob like that before. They look horrible. That should be disclosed in the description with photos.

Flawed

These door handles are nice looking and feel sturdy in hand. However, there is a uniform manufacturing defect on the plate that sits against the door. The metal is rippled and jagged along one edge and there is a dent on the opposite edge. I ordered 14 knobs and this defect was nearly uniform on each one.

Transitional lever handles

We really like our choice of these for our newly painted white doors in our renovation of our 80’s home. They are not as heavy and flat as most styles, while still modern looking. We are going for more of a transitional style.
