A horror show of a tap!!

We are so unhappy with this mindful tap that has us all confused and troubled with its random turnon and total shut down. We did contact an American Standard rep who gave instructions that did not help at all. Now we have gone through many batteries and not being able to use our sink. All we want is a tap that works! How can we make this one work???

Received item and install was a breeze! Product is easy to keep clean, doesn’t show a lot of water spots! Flow of water is great and the spray is helpful in removing food stuck on plates and utensils.

The faucet is very nice….. haven’t installed yet. Only issue I had was the packaging was not sealed when delivered…. Hopefully nothing missing!!

[Rewarded Review] Touchless faucet is super handy

One of those things you don’t realize you need until you have it. I love the touchless feature. Faucet itself was pretty easy install (just depends how much room you have to work with). Mounting is easier with 2 people for about 1 min so someone can hold it in place while you tighten the nut below. Faucet itself looks good, feels pretty sturdy and cleans easily. Like the spray pattern too.

We got this faucet a few weeks ago and the valve was sticking so we could only use it in manual mode, after getting a replacement it’s been terrific!

[Rewarded Review] Worth it!

So first off, installation was all of... 30mins or so. And it was only that long because I tore the box apart trying to see if a sticky hook and loop fastener was hiding somewhere (it wasn't). But besides that, this thing was a breeze. Everything went great and I was impressed with the quality of the faucet. But of course, it's American Standard, right? So it better be a quality piece.

I got this faucet and although I haven’t installed it yet I can tell it is a quality product. The body of the faucet is solid brass. The spray head is plastic, but that is standard with most kitchen faucets. The soap dispenser is an added benefit. Color/finish is beautiful.

I was weary of American Standards sensor faucet as I have had issues with previous manufacturers sensor faucets. This faucet was not only a breeze to install, but SO easy to use! The sensor works flawlessly and the faucet is such great quality. The look so very sleek and transitional and could fit in any space. The brushed finish also helps hide finger prints and grime but is so easy to clean. Absolutely love this faucet!

I ordered and purchased this faucet, but my husband installed it while I was out one afternoon (I know, what a guy!!) At first he was completely puzzled by the battery pack for the sensor that comes with it, but he's a sharp cookie and he had it figured out (and installed) in no time. He said he was able to do it all from on top of the sink, didn't have to crawl under there at all, so 5 out of 5 for ease of installation. That fifth star will be bestowed once we get the hang of the sensor; it is QUITE sensitive!! We have a dishwasher but we both agree that the sensor would be very helpful when rinsing dishes in a washing-by-hand situation, which we do find ourselves in from time to time. I do think that the sensor's on/off capabilities should be overridden by the actual faucet handle, that is to say that the water should come back on, even if you turned it off with wave (via the sensor) prior to turning it off with the handle. As it is now, you might turn the faucet on via the handle but no water comes out because the sensor is still "off." I think the handle should have ultimate control, but I can appreciate how this might have been debated back and forth during the design process, and how this final decision came to be. From a conservation standpoint, it makes a whole lot of sense (please pardon that awful pun). This faucet LOOKS lovely, nice curves and contours and I am delighted with the stainless steel finsih over whatever shinier option, which would have picked up fingerprints IMMEDIATELY. The pump accessory was also easy to install, but we haven't filled the reservoir with soap yet as we are still debating hand vs dish for that. (Keeping it lively here in Mpls!) All in all, we would buy this again, and the sensor will probably be great once we get the hang of it.

This is simply a great faucet that is classy looking, great finish and is fairly simple to install. The main reason for choosing this faucet was for its "touchless" feature. The sensor works well with just a wave of your hand or anything that may be in your hand while preparing food or cleaning. I just used the factory default for sensor which triggers easily within a few inches of the sensor. There are instructions on how to adjust the sensitivity if you like. Spray nozzle easily pulls out and retracts well into place. No "hanging" issues so always looks good. Dual spray works well with regular flow and a power spray option. Install instructions are easy to follow but this was my first time installing a touchless faucet. I've installed numerous regular faucets in my time but this one has a battery pack and a small motor unit for controlling the sensor and flow of water. I would have liked if the instructions were a little more clear on how to install these parts with better closeup photos or diagrams. Water line connections and hoses were all made of quality materials and had zero leak issues or trouble connecting.

Bought for a kitchen remodeling. The touchless feature is great. My six year old can reach the extend sensor area and was his hands. The faucet head works well and the buttons to switch flows are hidden in the back but still stainless color and not you topical black. We have hard water which stains everything. However it wipes off the faucet easily.

I received the Southport Touchless Faucet from American Standard to try. It is a pull down faucet that has an added soap dispenser. The soap dispenser is to put in the hole where your sprayer would typically go. It has a battery pack to operate the touchless feature/sensor. It is a high quality faucet with heavy durable parts. The pull down sprayer is heavy and feels like it will last forever. I noticed that the soap dispenser is made of heavy plastic, is easy to refill and is a nice added touch. It is an excellent way to fill the space of the sprayer. This faucet set comes with a metal mounting piece to cover up the holes as many people require a three hole faucet. With the addition of the mount, people now have the option to convert a three hole mount to a one hole mount without having to replace the sink. This is a huge bonus, and makes this faucet one that people can buy without having to permanently adapt their space. This would be good for homeowners or renters who want to upgrade their faucet without having to change out the sink or countertop. The spray on this faucet can be adjusted as well. The metal is a brushed chrome which does not show fingerprints, which is a HUGE plus. It is very easy to install, just watching a YouTube video and reading the instructions. Overall, this is an excellent piece of plumbing that is well built, solid and a definite upgrade.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent design

I was looking for a high quality faucet that had the touch feature on it. I believe I found it with this faucet. It was very easy to install this faucet and water flow is excellent. The one con I have is that sometimes the touch feature turns on automatically when I even touch the faucet. I've begun to realize where I can and can't touch it.

This product exceeded expectations. The construction quality of terrific, the finish is finely crafted and the articulation of the spout and handle have an excellent hand-feel. Installation was uncomplicated and straightforward (able to DIY) and although this is my first time experiencing a touchless faucet, I've got to say that I'm a fan!

This faucet is so good! We cook a lot and the convenience of the automatic faucet is great! Less clean time during and after cooking. Its a sleek design that isnt too trendy and that will stand the test of time design and function wise. Highly recommend!

[Rewarded Review] Great Faucet

Got this a few weeks ago and it is quite an upgrade from our last faucet. I like the pull down better than the pull out we had. This was very easy to install including the touchless actuator and wiring. Touchless is great for keeping the faucet clean without having to touch the handles with wet hands. Very good looking in our kitchen. Overall, very impressed and am loving it.
