Absolutely gorgeous!
We love this fixture, but Visual Comfort seems very hit and miss with their quality overall. This is the 2nd of 4 fixtures purchased from Visual Comfort this year that arrived with black spots on the brass finish. So, after waiting for months for them to arrive, I now have to return one and wait months to get a new one. Make sure to have your electrician wear gloves when installing as the brass will show fingerprints. Also, the alabaster comes with an oil or other substance on it, presumably to keep it from cracking, that must be wiped down carefully with a soft cloth (no water or solvent or it will leave spots). So, it's a bit delicate, but once it's up it is gorgeous. I was worried it would not be bright enough for a hallway, but it does cast a lovely, warm yet bright light. A big thanks to Kathy at Lighting New York for handling the exchange of the damaged fixture in a timely, and friendly manner. This fixture is stunning, and provides a good deal of light. Installation was not difficult. LNY customer service is great, too! 1 of 2 of them arrived with a damaged finish
Stunning, organic flush- mount! Like sculpture for the ceiling. Light is warm and sunset-like.
The Kelly Wearstler line of light fixtures are of the highest quality. The finishes are spectacular, design is modern and organic and unlike anything out there in a flush-mount fixture. This fixture lends the space (a small transitional hall to the walk-in closet) a distinct character, an almost zen like tranquillity with its splendid stone insert and the special warm light it radiates. Great quality, exquisite finish, attention to detail. Stone insert is stunning, warming light in contrast with the dark finish.
