Aluminum Paneling

The directions for the most part are easy to read and the assembly is fairly easy to put together. Why I give this a 3 star is because the roofing panels, all the side strips, well anything that is aluminum has a sticky plastic film on them. The assembly took 2 people about 8 hours until we got to pulling the sticky film off. That so far has taken us 6 hours.. My fingers hurt, I am cut up, elbows are raw from leaning on this roofing panel all day and how bad is this for the environment. If I had known that this film was on the aluminum panels I may have gotten the client to go with another company.

Awesome gazeeb!

Purchased from Costco. Great quality for a really great price. I needed some shade for the patio and this has done it with style. I built all the pieces an hour or two at a time in my garage over winter and spring then stacked it. I used 4 people and that worked well. Instructions were pretty clear throughout. The Yardistry videos and other people's videos and pictures definitely helped, especially with my special scenario of being close to the house and in a corner. I had 1 main beam (long one) that was not perfectly straight and I should have had that replaced but I managed to work around it. It kind of swerved out and back in right at the center point. The roof pieces did not sit perfectly together in the lower corners but I used some long screws to pull them together there. I had one dimension I could not match as I was trying to square and plumb the whole frame (page 24 14' 10-3/8" post to post....it was actually 14' 10-5/8 for me but that worked fine). I added gutters and a bridge piece of flashing between the house gutters and the gazebo gutters and gained another 2 feet of shade by way of the house overhang/eaves. It's had 3 or 4 storms so far and did great. I do have 1 small leak at a seam in the roof panel but nothing a little caulk can't fix and only when it storms hard. Can't wait to get furniture and get it decorated and pimped out! Get one you'll love it.

Wonderful addition to our backyard

I can’t say enough good things about this gazebo. We bought it through Costco and was very impressed with the whole delivery procedure. This gazebo came in three well packaged boxes and was easy to assemble over a couple of days. Extremely well built and makes a great addition to our backyard. There was a few marks in the wood and after a quick email to your service department, you sent me a container of touchup stain. Well done yardistry. we are now seriously, considering purchasing the eaves trough system for our gazebo. Thank you for the excellent product and super service.

Tajma Gazebo

We bought our Yardistry 12x14 Gazebo three years ago and after three years it is still beautiful! Our family added a fireplace, outdoor TV, lighting and patio furniture and now it is the go-to spot every night to watch the Toronto Blue Jays or our Toronto FC, or just to relax and socialize with friends and family.

Paradise brought to you by Yardestry

Had this gazebo professionally assembled by yardestry. Then we built 3 wall kits and stained everything. We installed an Acacia wood floor, put in a new pool and installed 1700 ft.² of artificial turf new landscaping. The backyard is incredible and the gazebo is jewel in the crown. We never could’ve gotten such a beautiful space For under $6000 all told with walls and floor and installation. Can’t wait to use it all this summer!

Beautiful!! Summer pool parties

I bought this last year and installed it with the help of 2 friends. Took us about 2 full days of work. Easy for the most part until the roof assembly. You’ll need 3 ladders. Middle guy hold the roof while the other 2 align the roof to the base. Besides that, easy installation. Came out so beautiful and completely changed our backyard. We love it

Beware the plastic wrap.

Was excited by this purchase, from all the great reviews and the online vids that made the assembly of this gazebo seem like it could actually be fun. I’ve discovered the vids don’t tell you of a seemingly small, yet ultimately significant detail: Shrink-wrapped plastic film. Halfway through assembly and I feel like my soul is dying; so much so that I'm tempted to ask Yardistry if they offer a replacement kit for it. Everything was coming together nicely until I got to the removal of plastic wrap from the sheet metal roof panels and panel joinings. Each piece is "protected" with shrink-wrap plastic with adhesive on both sides. The plastic was/is adhered with a mild death grip to each piece and requires a slow, painstaking, and meticulous peeling off. Go too fast and the plastic would rip, requiring you to scratch at the edge of the rip to get the removal going again. Go too slow and your toddlers will graduate from college before you've successfully removed the copious amounts of this ridiculous film of dread from these pieces. All told, I’ve clocked about 8 hours of plastic removal from the roof sheet metal panels, and I’m guessing about 4 more hours to get the plastic off the roof joinings. I even tried a heat gun at one point to get the plastic to shrink and shrivel and expedite removal, but to no avail.

Awsome product

If you’re thinking of adding an outdoor seating feature, I strongly recommend looking into the Yardistry line of products. I was impressed with the quality and material finish of all the parts of the 12’ x 16’ wood gazebo we purchased. The kit is well engineered and designed. I allowed the parts to acclimatize for a few weeks and applied a clear water-based sealer to all wood parts prior to assembly, mostly because I live in the Pacific Northwest. As to the assembly, the instruction book has clear concise instructions and diagrams for every phase, and if you have a basic knowledge of tools needed, common sense and four or five mates to help with the final assembly you will end up with an awsome addition to your yard.

Quality product

We purchased a 12x14 Yardistry Gazebo 7 years ago for a outdoor living space with fireplace easy to install. And high quality materials. This year we purchased a 12x16 Gazebo with screen netting and two privacy walls for our outdoor kitchen and dining area again easy to install and high-quality materials. So why not get a 12x12 Yardistry Pergola for the hot tub. And pergola was just as easy to install. We now are going to get a 10x22 pergola for the last part of our outdoor upper patio than we will be complete THANKS YARDISTRY FOR A QUALITY PRODUCT!!!

Excellent Construction, Instructions and Service

That is a beautiful and very well-designed gazebo. Extremely sturdy. Make sure to follow the instructions!!! It is tempting to assume what the next step is and to have to undo it :) I needed a part replaced approximately eight months later, and the warranty process was amazingly smooth and straightforward. One of the best customer warranty experiences that I've had. As the instructions indicate, for some assemblies, three persons are essential. An eight-foot ladder came in very handy along with two six-foot ladders. I've assembled another manufacturer's gazebo recently and now appreciate Yardistry's packaging as superior with much better protection of the parts, especially the roof panels (they have the panels covered with a protective film on both sides!).

Perfect addition to complete our outdoor kitchen!

Bought from Costco in Dec 22 and assembled in Jan 23. Searched long and hard for a solution to cover our outdoor kitchen/grill. Couldn't be happier with the fit and color. It's almost like it was custom designed to match. No assembly issues! Got it done over several days mostly by myself with some assistance from my wife and a cousin to lift the big pieces into place (could've used more help but couldn't find anyone available). The "Helpful Hints" video and instructions are great...follow them and it's easy! Added 4 low voltage hard-scape lights by running the wiring up through one post and along the beams behind the roof-to-beam brackets. It's already been through several strong thunderstorms and I haven't seen any leaks. Looking for to grilling in the shade this summer!

Our first four seasons with Yardistry

We had a project to improve our backyard and maximize the space. After much research and reading the comments and ideas on the Yardistry site, our decision was quickly made to order our 12 x 16 gazebo online in the spring of 2021.

The Outdoor Living Area at a Fraction of the Price

If you're reading this, you're probably exploring your options for an outdoor living area. After realizing we never spent time in our backyard, we wanted to build something that would make us want to spend time outside the house more often in the spring/summer/fall when the weather was nice. We started with an estimate from a general contractor to make our patio larger, build an outdoor living space that extended from the covered porch where we could put outdoor furniture, a TV, lighting, and cooking space for a bbq, griddle, smoker, and prep table. The estimate: $40-50K! And that of course wouldn't include any of the furniture/tv/etc... This was a shock but obviously we had no idea what our expectations should have been for such an addition. Since that was out of our desirable budget for the project, we decided to come up with an alternative where we could at least meet some of our wants. Enter the Yardistry 12x16 Gazebo from Costco! We ended up having the contractor extend our patio, then we built the Gazebo, then had the contractor come back out and build a wall that extended from the back of the house, along one side of the Gazebo that would partially enclose the space and allow for a TV to be hung. We then added furniture, outdoor rugs, LED string lighting, a ceiling fan, sound bar with subwoofer and surround sound speakers, Bevy bar tables, a roll-down sun shade, curtains, and even a small swing for our infant children to enjoy when we're outside. We also added 2 tables behind the furniture with chairs to have a place for dining outside. For electrical, we were only powering a small fan, tv, surround sound, and LED lighting, so we just neatly ran a higher amperage extension cord from the outlet around the base of the walls and up one of the gazebo posts to smart outlets connected to Google home for voice control.

We get a ton of compliments on the structure.

Beautiful when complete - nightmare to build. We get a ton of compliments on the unit. Putting it together is not an easy task. I would strongly recommend you take an entire day, and go step by step and pull the boards and hardware required for each step bundle the boards with plastic wrap, put the screws in a bag and label each step. You will spend more time sorting through the hundreds of pieces and thousands of screws trying to do each step at a time. On day 2 of building we took this approach and everything went much faster. There was 1 board that was planed incorrectly and was about 1/2 thinner on one side - thankfully it’s not noticeable sandwiched with other boards for the side beams. Also, have a spare 12’ 2x4 to help push up and stabilize the roof sections while you are putting them together. The instructions are non sense telling you to have someone stay up there and hold it while you figure out how to get the other two into place. Overall I am happy with the purchase, but if you aren’t necessarily a handy person… you really may want to consider paying someone to construct it.

Perfect Addition to our Backyard

We purchased the 12 x 16 Yardistry Pavilion after doing research online with regard to size, product materials and price and Yardistry was our front runner in all categories. Our end result exceeded our expectations. I too like many of the reviews were hesitant to receive this item in 3 large boxes and then of course the task of assembly and organization of pieces and parts. Could be an overwhelming task for some. We were fortunate in our area that Yardistry had a recommendation of an installer of Playsets in our area that could do the assembly for us (of course for a charge, we did assist where necessary to save money). We felt comfortable hiring this team since they had built over 500 Yardistry structures and were familiar with all the components. Our installers had nothing but rave reviews of the product and all the installs they have completed. Consistent product, hardware and predrilled holes (which you don't find in most prepackaged goods). I have included photos of our end result and could not be more pleased. We had a paver patio installed first and did secure the structure to the pavers and concrete supports below the structure as described by Yardistry.

Beautiful and High Quality

Just finished the final touches on the 12x16 cedar gazebo purchased from Costco. We added a rolling solar shade since we get the afternoon sun and it is perfect! This gazebo looks so grand on our patio and we have received numerous compliments from neighbors already.

Great gazebo

We purchased the 12 x 16 gazebo earlier in the spring and had it chillin in the garage for a month or so until the completion of a paver patio. If you are not able to get to the project immediately after delivery make sure you have a place or tarps to protect the packaging until you can get started. The three packages that get delivered are about 300 lbs each and would take a ton of manpower to move. Once we unboxed, sorted, and organized the materials it took up about 1/2 or our two car garage. Spending time organizing all the pieces will save you a bunch of time finding three of these and four of those later. As with any construction project whether it is building a house, garage, or storage shed if you don't start with a flat foundation to build off of you are going to fight being square. This kit is pre-cut and pre-drilled to accept all the fasteners therefore allowing little ability of making up the difference created by an uneven base. For those who haven't done much building, if it isn't square when you get ready to attach the roof panels to the framework you have built it simply isn't going to fit and I promise that you won't be happy. When assembling the four roof panels we found it helpful to take extra care to ensure that the edges of the panels we aligned so that they were straight with no bows in them. We did this by screwing the outside edges first and working toward the middle. The directions show having 5 people to help lift and attach the roof panels. Depending on your strength and fitness you can get by with less but I would not even attempt this part of the project with less than three. We also had several good ladders and a scaffolding set up inside to work off of. Just be prepared that to do this safely you need equipment to work off of and additional manpower. The materials are precisely cut and drilled and when assembled correctly create a gazebo that is of very high quality. Since the completion of the project we have enjoyed it every day.

Excellent buy, easy to install, low maintenance

We bought this gazebo about a month and half ago and were on the fence about whether to install it ourselves or hire a contractor to do it. The gazebo arrived in three boxes (weighs in around 650 lbs) within 10 days. After a week or procrastination, we decided to do it ourselves. While it seemed daunting upon opening the boxes, I was pleased to find detailed instructions, well packed materials and accessories in the boxes. Going by past experience, we decided to lay everything out separately across our back yard to make sense of things. My wife and I spent the first day trying to figure out what we had and where does it go. Between the two of us, we were able to manage moving things around and putting them together (including the bulk of the materials, especially the weight of the posts). We decided to put things together as much as possible on day two. On day three, we brought in rented power tools and ladders so erect the structure. We were hoping to get everything done in one day. However, we are not quite handy and have a three year old, who did her part in slowing us down enough. We extended the rent for tools and ladders for another day, but were done by lunch time. The large pieces were easy to put together. There's a fairly intricate (but well thought out) structure to hold the roof together with many small parts. However, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. By the time we were done, we could see how everything fit together and played an essential role in holding things together. Overall, the process was satisfying and enjoyable (especially given the final output). The gazebo has been a breeze to maintain. It is spacious, looks great, and has gotten us a lot of compliments from our neighbors. After about a week of moving the gazebo very slightly back and forth, we finalized on the location. We screwed in the posts into the concrete patio to give the gazebo stability (although the gazebo is quite heavy and took a lot of effort to move it just an inch). All in all, we are very happy with the purchase and the installation process. We look forward to enjoying the gazebo for many years to come.
