A great product at a great price!

I love everything about this pan. I thought the price was great. The way that it cooks is exceptional, and the lighter weight is a nice treat. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that has an interest. My Wife was even taken by the light blue color. She’s remarked a few times, “What a pretty Dutch oven.”

Perfect Dutch Oven

Great quality dutch oven at a reasonable price. I needed a mid-size, lighter weight dutch oven for soups, stews and chili and this beautiful one from Merten & Storck is just what I hoped for!

Great-looking

It looks very beautiful, making cooking delightful. However, I was hope that the cover should be heavy enough to prevent steam leaking, but it fails to do it

1873 Dutch Oven Azure Blue

I very much like this dutch oven. The color is lovely. My soups simmer nicely and washing it has been easy. The weight is very nice: heavy enough to feel substantial but light enough to carry and pull off the shelf. I have no regrets. I also have the red colored one. That is also a very cheery color. I did notice a small chip in the lid of the red one ....and I suppose this trend will continue in both pots. Doesn't bother me. I have a few wrinkles and dings too.

Great Cookware

Light weight, evenly cooks food and easy to clean. Couldn’t ask for anything better. My husband and I like this so much we bought one as a gift for a friend.

Nice size but poorly designed

Before onions saute, the bottom starts burning, then when you put the lid on for the stew to cook, the steam goes around the lid and starts dripping around to the point that I had to pick up the lid drain the water accumulated many times or it dripped to the gas light and put off the flame under.

1st Timer!

Was just looking at a smaller Dutch Oven, and came across M&S. Did some research and noticed that they are older than Le Creuset, and than MANY of the reviews were extremely positive. So I pulled the trigger and could not be happier! I love the fact that it is lighter but I do not loose any of the cooking ability from a heavier pot.

A perfect choice!

This Dutch Oven is awesome! AND a lot cheaper than other popular brands. It is enameled iron, not cast iron. But, works beautifully AND is a lot lighter in weight. This is 7 lbs., compared to 11-13 lbs. in others. Buy this one! I think you'll be happy you did!

Beautiful color teal

Perfect workable size pot for stew, chili, pasta dishes. And it's not too deep.i gave away my larger Dutch oven and this is perfect!

More than a bread baker

Love this pot. Bought to begin making bread, but used to roast a chicken and make a pasta dish. This will be a go-to for on the stove and in the oven. Cleans so easily. Love this!

Beautiful pan. Love the gray. Not heavy. Says a German-made pan, in business for about 150 yrs. Let's hope the quality matches the look.

Just the right size for one person

This was I was looking for and first use was good. Only reason for 4 stars is that after I washed it and put it out to dry some more I found a piece of the white coating lying in the bottom of the pan. Looking around I see a spot on the rim that’s missing a piece. Shouldn’t be an issue so long as I dry it by hand immediately after washing. That should keep the chance of rush forming down. Otherwise happy with my purchase.

This dutch oven is not only beautiful. Its lighter weight is absolutely perfect for me; it heats up very quickly, evenly and cleans up easily. Anything that I have made in this pot turns out absolutely perfectly.

lighter dutch oven

love the size and color, and have always wanted a dutch oven. however, they have become too heavy and cumbersome to work with, and was tempted to try this less heavy version.
