Doesn’t hold up to rain

Owned this keypad less than two months. We installed it on the fence and placed a board over it to act as a roof to help protect it. It quit working and when I opened it to change batteries it was full of water and ants. Apparently this keypad is not weather proof. The other model clearly states weather proof but this one doesn’t. If I would have known I would have spent the extra few bucks now I have to buy a new one anyway.

Difficult install

Works as it should. BUT to mount you must remove the batteries. The problem arises when reinstalling the battery pack. The battery pack is held in place with a #4 x 1/4” long screw that is installed from the BOTTOM! Fumble the screw once along side your gravel, weedy drive and the screw is gone. I lucked out, found the screw and then chose to disassemble the mount post with the keypad attached. Laying the assembly on the truck bed enabled me to both see the screw hole and to also recover the screw if dropped. Yes, the pad worked as described.

New opener control for Mighty Mule

For some reason I had a difficult time finding remote opener for Mighty Mule Garage Door opener but having finally found this unit which is far superior to the unit that came with my opener.

Worked perfectly' easy setup.

The key pad would not program. I had to call for assistance from Mighty Mule. The tech was very helpful and after several attempts and a time on hold we got it working.

Like everything else we bought from Mighty Mule, it does not work consistently. Seems like every time the weather changes, it stops working. Everything we've gotten from Mighty Mule has been unreliable. What a waste of money!

Gate doesn't automatically close. So guests have to get out of car to go to keypad to open & close. No benefit of gate opener (they could just as easily open & close manually as with using keypad)
