I received the Minwax Ultimate Floor Finish Professional Formula from Influenster and Sherwin Williams for my honest feedback. My family has an older house with hardwood floors that needed to be redone. My son has been helping me with this and the process has taken longer than expected especially since the floor needed to be sanded first and stains removed. Thus far, we have been throughly impressed with the Satin floor finish. It is quick drying with a 2 hour recoat time and no sanding was needed after the first application. Since this is a polyurethane product we both wore masks and kept the room vented by opening windows. As you can see in the photos the results are astonishing. This comes as no surprise to me because Minwax have always been a favorite of mine for finishing wood projects. Floors are just the same. This Ultimate Floor Finish left a brilliant finish on our maple floors. There was some prep work involved. But after the sanding and cleaning. This finish came through in a special way. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting beautiful floors within their home.

Miniwax Ultimate Floor Finish is top of the line stuff! We decided to improve the look of our high traffic breezeway steps since they were looking really shabby, but after using this Floor finish we we totally impressed with the final outcome of our project, I mean just look at the difference in the before and after pictures! Miniwax Proffesional formula floor finish went on very smooth, and it didn't take a lot of product, dried within two hours, and didn't have harsh fumes while applying. I was surprised that this Floor finish didn't dry sticky like some finishes do, it dried into a smooth satin finish as promised! We now want to remodel our bathroom floors in wood just to be able to use the rest of this floor finish, we like it that much!

Staining my wood floors with the Minwax Lambskin Floor Stain Pad was a pretty easy job with the LAMBSKIN Floor Stain pad . The pad provided smooth application, even coverage and minimized any streaks. Pairing it with Minwax Ultimate Floor Finish delivered a stunning, shiny long lasting result. The combination enhanced the wood's natural beauty while providing long lasting protection. Highly recommended for a professional looking finish. 10/10!

Thank you Influenster and Minwax for sending me the Ultimate Floor Finish. This floor finish is designed to restore wood floors making them more aesthetically pleasing and durable. This is a water water based formula that claims to have less odor than solvent based, I immediately noticed that it did not have the strong chemical scent I have experienced with other products. The floor finish applied easily and evenly, it cures quickly allowing to recoat in 2 hours without sanding in between. Before using on my floors I tested this product on a custom oak children’s table I am restoring, I was unsure about the gloss finish but the stain itself is really beautiful. While imperfections and debris can be more prominent on a gloss finish, it creates such shine and a more dramatic look that I love. Unfortunately the lamb skin stain pad that came with the bundle shed really bad causing lint to mix into the fresh stain. It created a mess and stalled my project. I am unable to speak on the durability of this product long term or how it would hold up on high traffic floor areas. I would still like to try this product on my floors but I would need a few more cans to cover all the surface area I need as one gallon only cover about 400 sq Ft. The product itself is very easy to use and beautiful. I just think I would need it better prep and application products next time I try to use it.

As a novice DIY-er, I was concerned about this product. The thought of refinishing my floors was daunting. It had a small space that I figured, if I mess it up, it’s not too much space to replace. Luckily, following the directions made this super easy. The product went on easily, didn’t smell bad at all, very low odor. Best part, I didn’t have to wait an extra day for a second coat. Two hours and I could finish the project. I look forward to the next room!

I really like this finish not only for being odor free but it's also far less messy and easy to clean up. I received the Satin Finish, which provides more of a deep, rich look. Although it can be a bit time-consuming, your floors will look amazing!! Highly Recommend!!

It was very easy to apply using a lambskin applicator. Also it dried pretty quickly. I am very pleased with this floor finish. I was hesitant about a strong odor, but it is very, very minimal. It dried after two to three hours. It’s easy to apply and shouldn’t require more than two to three coats, depending on the wood. I’ll likely purchase this to use on my wooden rocking chairs when I get to that project!

worked great over oil based stain on my wood floor

This worked great over the oil based minwax stain that I had used on my wood floor. My floor was in pretty rough shape. I hand sanded and stained with a rag. I followed the directions for the poly urethane. I actually gave my stain a full week to cure since I wasn't able to add the polyurethane until the next weekend. I applied 3 coats, waiting 2 hours between coats. I applied it with a brush and it just smoothed out like glass. I was worried since I had read mixed reviews about water-based on top of oil based stain. I really didn't want smell and yellowing that you get with oil based. Just follow the directions and you will be as pleased as I am!
