Comes in a can. Can is sealed. Product is rated for 25 years. It will remain that way until needed.

Easy prep

So I tried the chicken and rice the consistency was good the chicken was tasty the rice was A little chewy. I followed the prep direction as directed. I would still purchase this again. I wish there were more choices for non dairy breakfast meals.

Makes good soup too!

Add some of this to some chicken broth and makes pretty good chicken and rice soup. Good way to stretch it out for more meals!

I hope to never eat it!

Mountain house is the turn key tasty all in one Prepper meals. Good quality ingredients.

A very good product

The chicken- rice is easy to prepare and very filling. The product is considered to be gluten free option for those who have an intolerance to wheat.

Easy prep and great taste.

I bought some of these for using on fishing trips. The prep is easy and one can can easily feed 1 person for a few days. As a little flavor hack, add a few drops of old fashioned pepper sauce and a little pinch of field garlic greens for some fun variation.

Tasty, but can't be preserved

I bought this product but found that it must be used within 7days. That doesn't work for a family of two. I have used my Food Saver to preserve the rest of the food my portioning into smaller packs. How long will it last by doing this? Who knows. Other company have solved this issue and you can use the left overs after opening the can for up to a year in the can provided. Things to make you say Hmmm

Great Product and Great Service!

I count on Mountain House as my emergency back up food. It delivers great tastes and value for the money and the Stroganoff tastes like my homemade!

Great freeze dried meal can! Been eating this stuff for something like 15 years and can say competing brands just aren't as good. Add a squeeze of lime to really do it up!

Rice and Chicken - if only

I love Mountain House meals for camping, esp. the beef stew. I just wish they weren't so fond of bell peppers because I'm not, and think the Chicken and Rice would be better without. But if was starving I wouldn't complain. ;-)

emergency backup, ease of prep and flavor is good, as with everything these days it is sorely lacking in the amount of meat per serving. I will only buy it when on sale for a low price.

Cans keep getting smaller

I have bought several of the big cans of food and this one is about half the size as my previous purchases. Yet, IT COST THE SAME IF NOT MORE MONEY!!!!!
