The colors are more vivid than I expected but it is exactly what my space needed. I had already purchased a thin rug pad but it is very soft without one so if you're not worried about slipping, I'm not sure you need one. The edges needed more than a few days and some heavy weights to uncurl but after that, they are laying flat.

Gorgeous multicolor rug for my long boring hallway

I knew I had to have this rug as soon as I saw it! It has all my favorite colors in it and will liven up my boring hallway that has boring whitel walls.

I like the color and design, but this run falls apart pretty easily and you can't vacuum it. I would not recommend purchasing if you are looking for something that will last you a while.

I ordered 2 of the Nantucket Balda Cotten rug. I love the quality of these rugs. My one issue is that one of the rugs is noticeably "brighter" in color than the other. They are in different places in our home so it's not a huge deal. Just consider this flaw when ordering.

Great beach vibe rug and awesome shades of blue!

This Nantucket Gulsen rug is Beautiful! There are many great shades of blue in the rug, along with white, cream, a little tan, a little brown (which goes great on a hardwood floor). The circles are fabulous! This rug reminds me a little of the “rag” rug look of years ago, which makes it so unique from many other rugs out there. It is very classy looking and gives off a Nantucket beach vibe. Nice and thick, and very soft. It is well made and lays nicely. There are a few pieces throughout that stuck up a little, but I just tucked them back in. I ordered the 6&9 size. Love this rug very much!

Color, Size, Pile andpattern are a *** Shoot

I ordered one of these in the 2'3" x 5' size and was pleased with it. So I ordered three more to go in the same room. I know the website says colors vary and sizes are approximate. Be aware it is a *** shoot on what you get. I ordered two 2' 3" x 9' runners to go in the same room. The colors are completely different and the pattern size isn't the same. The supposed 9' long runners ended up being 8' 9" ( which is close) the 2nd one only 8'. The description says the pile height is more than 1". This also isn't the case. The three that are thicker are about 3/4" thick which is nice. The very short 9' runner is only 3/8" thick. I didn't mind some variation in color, but am disappointed at the extreme difference in the two runners. The picture shows the two runners ordered at the same time side by side.

Substantial Rug...

This is a nice thick carpet but not as I thought it might be. One of the reviews said that their's had a rubberized backing. Mine does not. When I rolled mine out and walked on it, there were bamboo splinters in the pile. The pile sheds. Otherwise it is a good enough for a mudroom entrance. I need to see how the carpet holds up.

I have two of these rugs, previously purchased through other merchants. Obviously, I love the style, as I already have two, but, in this instance, the description did not accurately reflect the rug I received. I bought the longer runner replace one of my oldies to be placed adjacent to another of the same style, and the colors were way off. I ordered the Multi Pink, counting on large amounts of pink, but the rug "reads" more yellow/tan/orange and does not compliment my current piece. The quality is good, and shipping, fast.

This rug didn't look the same on my monitor as in person, but this was not a problem: the 'circles' looked almost white in the picture but are really more of a golden tan color. So it's a bit darker than I thought. Perhaps 'intense' would be a better word? All of the colors other than the 'circles' are intense, and that's one of my favorite things about this rug. Pretty much any strong solid color towels will match something in there, but it doesn't look like a 'theme' where everything's identical. This is NOT anywhere near a 'formal' style rug: like a 'home-made' hooked rug, the strips of cloth sometimes have an end sticking up and the edges of the strips are unfinished. For me, that just adds to the authenticity and is part of its charm. The 'burlap' backing seems to be ?glued to the rug, which will help protect it from starting to unravel. It's certainly 'warm' - more yellow/orange/red/violet in the palette than anything else, although there are at least 4 different shades of blue and another 4 or 5 of green. The colors are pretty random: yellow will change to green or red at random points along any line within the 'circles'. Again, that's the authentic look of a rag rug. People who like 'ballerina' pink and similar pastels, and those who want every item in a bathroom to match would not like this rug. But if you generally are 'not a morning person' and put this rug in your bathroom, it's going to present you with an emphatic and enthusiastic positive vibe that's hard to resist. I'd imagine it'd do the same thing as a bedside rug - or pretty much any place you put it. The rug itself is strong, too: it's not the squishy-soft feel of a fluffy pile. It's a true 'rag' rug, but much thicker and heavier than others I've had, with a very substantial feel. Too heavy to easily slide around on the tile floor in the bathroom!

I'm not in love with the color I ended up getting. The pattern is varied so the stock photo looked more pink and the overall product doesn't look that pink- it is more multi-colored. Also, the pieces have come loose quite easily. I ended up throwing it out after about 18 months. Forget about cleaning it. The vacuum will chew it up.

I just received my Safavieh area rug and it's as colorful as I had hoped~!! I should've ordered a larger size, but I'll enjoy this rug all the same. It's nice and thick ~ the craftsmanship seems great - it came rolled and opened up nicely - no furls or curled ends/corners. I did want to use it under my desk, but it's too thick to roll my chair on. No problem, I'll find a perfect use for it!

Pretty rug, poor quality

Rug arrived and looks great. However, within a couple weeks it started losing pieces of fabric that were found lying around close to the rug. It appears the rug was not sewn very well and pieces of fabric come loose easily. The rug is in a hallway and gets only moderate use so I am disappointed in the quality. I would not recommend this rug for that reason.

Beautiful rug!

Just got this rug & I love it! Bright beautiful colors enhanced by the darker hues. Brings colorful vibrancy to my home. Especially nice at this cold, gray time of year! At the same time the thick & cushion-y handwoven texture adds a sense of comfort & coziness. Perfect for the eclectic mix of bohemian, folk art I have collected over the years. Am buying another today!

Unique handcrafted quality

As an artist, I appreciate the handmade character and vivid co.r of this rug. I have owned four. The first two were lost to flood damage, and I was thrilled to find them again on overstock. They appear to be made of colorful strips of cotton cloth woven into a sturdy backing. Sometimes an end of a strip comes loose, and you can snip it off with scissors without any apparent damage showing. There is a full spectrum of color, and I'd have called this Red Multi or. Bright Multi. I have two of the 5x8 rugs of different patterns in adjacent areas sad they really make a statement. I had an older dog living with these rugs and all I would caution is that if your dog is incontinent, be sure to use a rug pad underneath as the dye colors do run slightly, not enough to see on the top, but you will underneath. I like the Safavieh Ultra Non Slip Rug Pad. The new rug smell dissipated quickly and the new dog settled in happily to lie on it while it was being unrolled. Also, I have found that the unique nature of the rug means it will not match the photo, and I am pleased with my own unique rugs.

bright, vibrant, well-constructed rug

very happy with this rug. it's nice and heavy... it feels substantial. the colors are true to the pictures... very bright and colorful. it will be a great anchor for a room in our house that has no windows. combined with a bright color on the walls, the room will feel inviting and comfortable, despite the absence of windows. :) . . . . the rug is soft and feels good against your feet. overall, i'm happy with the purchase.

POP!

At first I wasn't sure the runner fit my decor but it's grown on me. I wanted a pop of color and something that wouldn't show stains easily since I'm using it in my kitchen. The image seems brighter than the actual runner. I'm happy to say it is actually 2'3" x 8' after researching/discovering many runners are smaller than listed size. It's thick, soft under foot and will protect my cork floors from gouges. The Pink/Multi color is a little confusing. Yes, there's pink, as well as red, green, purple, tan, gold, maroon/burgundy and other colors, but the edges are maroon/burgundy. The listing states it contains latex and I wasn't sure if it had a latex backing on top of the cotton canvas backing. The runner does not so I will need to purchase a non-skid pad because it slides easily, in spite of the length and weight. I would not vacuum with a beater bar; I'm sure it would catch the individual colored fabric and shred it. I strictly vacuum without the beater head. Very pleased with this purchase (as well as previous purchase of a beautiful rug for my dining room).

This rug is perfect for you if you are color blind.

I love the size of this rug. It fits perfectly beside my bed. The quality seems fine so far. My biggest complaint is the colors are not even remotely similar. The reason I chose this rug was because the colors online matched the décor in my room. The most dominant and most repeated colors in this rug are dark red, black, mustard yellow, and blue. I have no idea why they would misrepresent the colors so blatantly.

Pretty accent rugs

These are very pretty and brightly colored rugs BUT they are basically rag rugs with a jute backing and very heavy. I ordered 3 for my Southwestern bedroom. I used rug pads under them but they constantly slipped off of the pads and had to be readjusted. After having them on my bedroom floor for a year and a half they got very dirty and started shedding pieces of the rags. They are not washable! They had to be vacuumed to get dust and dog hair off which probably led to the shedding. I loved the look of these rugs but they were impractical for my 3 dog traffic. I switched them out for nonslip washable rugs.
