There was some confusion on the part of the customer service dept. regarding whether this light kit would fit my existng fan that was about 5 years old. Fortunately, I did not listen to the first CS Rep and eventually got hold a someone who knew the product line better. I was advised this would work and now we have light in a previously dark family room. This kit throws a great deal of diffused light through out the room and satisfies the need we had for overhead lighting.

I had to strip the wires on the fan to connect the light as the light does not have a connecting harness. The picture does not show the light chain which hangs from a hole in the middle of the lens. It's not visually appealing.

Not As Shown

The photo shows a pull chain through the globe so it can be switched at the fixture. The product I received, same model number, has no pull chain and it cannot be switched at the fixture (separate from the fan)
