The shade material is NOT GLASS!
In the specifications it stated that the shade material was made out of glass which I thought would've looked really nice but it was made of fabric.Overall it's not a bad looking chandelier just a bit overpriced compared to the look-alikes that Home Depot carries.

As for best room - it wasn't listed. We installed in our large entryway. Overall it looks great from a distance and obviously no one will get up on a ladder to inspect it - but I expected a bit more quality for $400. Appearance, fairly easy to install, lots of light w/60w bulbs! Less than great materials (can you spell C-H-I-N-A) and shade construction is not on par w/price (see previous parenthetical).
