I bought a pair of these lights and the arm on one side fell apart. Maybe metal corrosion or fault... but since they are over a year old and the parts are not sold separately it is in the trash. Thought I was buying something of quality that would last.

Unique wall LED fixture

I really like the ability to aim and that the LED light isn't too bright. And this fixture is dimmable. We are lighting a closet with a 16' ceiling height.

I love the look and the light from this fixture. However, it has been on my wall for less than one month and doesn't work anymore. My electrician said the driver is defective. Unfortunately since this occurred more than 30 days after the purchase, no refund. This is the second time for this issue with these Aileron lights - all in the same batch. Never again.

Nice light, Installation can be *VERY* expensive

So the light is great and looks good, but be prepared the installation may be very expensive. This light and the others in the family are only wide enough to cover a standard outlet J-box mounted horizontally, which is a very rare mount for sconces. If you have a vertical J-box or a typical round box you will need to replace it (and repair your walls) or pay for the very expensive optional metal 'wings' that should come standard with a light of this cost. Also, especially for the 3' long version, there is a transformer that you must cram into the box. For the 3' lamp, the transformer only fits in the box the long way, and then only if you have an extra deep J-box. Short J-boxes will not accommodate the 3' light transformer. For my application, I was able to replace the round boxes with extra deep J-boxes, patch and paint my walls. Most others will have to opt for the expensive wings or pay $100's of dollars for an electrician to rewire the box, and then someone to patch and paint the walls. One other consideration is that this is a flat panel LED light, which is what I wanted, but as we are all finding out, LEDs do NOT last nearly as long as we were promised. If my LED goes out, or the transformer it comes with goes out, there is no option to replace either. So, this means the light will need to be completely replaced instead of repaired. As such, plan to keep this light on your wall for 3-5 years before it will probably fail. Optimistically it will last longer, but do not hold your breath. Consider it a very expensive non-replaceable light bulb that will definitely have to be replaced in the future. Other than that, the light does look great on the wall. Less

The perfect uplight !

Love the simple, sleek, yet functional design of this product. We installed several in our mountain home to modernize the look. Finish is top notch and goes well with metal trim elsewhere in the home.

stopped working for me too!

I also purchased a 24" version of this light in 2016, and while we liked the light, it stopped working just a few weeks ago. Since I read a similar review, I can only assume these lights fail in less than 4 years. This light only got moderate use and certainly shouldn't have failedso quickly! I'm also having no success tracking down parts information regarding an LED replacement bulb if one exists. Very unhappy.

Stopped working

We purchased the Aileron 24” light from Lamps Plus in 2016. Over the last couple of months it has completely stopped working. We are so disappointed in the light. I can’t imagine purchasing a Sonneman light again for my home.

Great design! Already have one and got a second one for the hallway. Love how the light can be directional!
