[Rewarded Review] Heats water SO FAST!

I bought my kettle about a month ago and now use it every morning. I only heat 1 1/3 cups water for tea in the morning and it's boiling within 2 minutes. I have used it to jump start a pot of water for cooking pasta adding the boiling water to cold water...cuts the boiling time in half. NOTE: There is a PLASTIC filter over the pouring spout inside the kettle. Not sure why the designers thought that was a good idea--it's not. I took pliers and twisted and cut it out, so now my boiling water doesn't touch plastic.

(Rewarded Review) Difficult to add more water safely!

I love the look and auto shutoff. Quite classy:-)) Otherwise I am not finding it particularly safe for me. Maybe I'm getting old and forget to slow down but often I want/need to add more water and when taking off the lid I come close to scalding myself. There is no real way to remove the lid without having your hand over the opening. If the handle swivelled some it would be better! (maybe it does but I am not strong enough to do it! LOL)

I’ve been using this KitchenAid electric kettle two or three times a day for 8 months now and so far so good. First off, the Empire Red color is beautiful and I specifically chose this color to match my Red KitchenAid mixer. It’s so convenient to use, it boils our water in less than 2 minutes. It’s compact, which is perfect for small spaces. The On/Off switch has a LED indicator that tells me when the water is ready. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is the chipping around the lid. It chips easily no matter how careful you are with it and it’s not just me, I’ve read several reviews addressing the same issue. It’s also a little bit loud which is not that that big of a deal, just sharing that info.

This is the second identical kettle I have purchased from KitchenAid - I loved my first so much, when it started to go I just had to buy another identical to replace it! My kettle gets heavy use in the home (boiled approx 12 times a day) and the KitchenAid functions so well. Built beautifully, with quality fixtures and fittings that stand the test of time. The brand plate is classic and solidly attached (unlike the many reviews I have read about competitors). A classic, quality kitchen appliance of which I am proud to display in my home.

Received the electric kettle as a gift a month ago. Has good capacity and works quickly to boil water. Not suitable for other liquids according to manufacturer's instructions, so only used for water. I use this kettle exclusively for tea and drip coffee. I've had no issues with it's performance or reliability. It has an automatic shutoff, so that's a peace of mind issue that is nice. It has replaced my gas cooktop which is also a nice perk.

Been using this for a month now and I really do like it. It has replaced my red Kitchenaid stove top teapot. This looks beautiful in my kitchen with it's nostalgic pop of red. It boils water so much faster than the stove top. I love the fact that it pours neatly without drips of water all over the place the way the stove top one did.

I've had my electic kettle about a month. Things I love about it are, it's appearance, it's total metal kettle parts, it heats water fast! Things I think need improvement: The BIG LABEL on the cord is totally unsightly for such a great looking piece. It's right next to the plug, so it is sticks out like a sore thumb when you walk in the room. So, I removed it. Guess what, the glue you used on the cord to adhere is remained and started sticking to the pot when I moved it back to store or anything else that came near the cord. Had to get some acetone to remove the glue. Just FIX this problem....find a better way. Only other thing I think can be improve is the lid is a little tight fit clearing the handle when there is condensation in the lid.....otherwise you always spill some down the side of the pot or on the counter (can't turn lid upside down before removing from between the handle). I love it, I love the look, definitely recommend it. just fix a few glitches!

Healthful way to go!

I have a gas stove and used to heat water on the stove. Then I heard a scientific report about dangerous gas emitted while heating on gas stoves that was harmful to your health. It is then that I purchased a Kitchenaid electric kettle. Wow, what a great purchase. Heats water super fast. I use filtered water, but the added filter on the kettle is an added bonus and my tea tastes better than ever.

(Rewarded Review) Pastel Pistachio is Gorgeous

This is my second time buying this kettle. I had it in red at my old place and it's still working fine years later. I pretty much hydrate through herbal tea and boil the kettle several times a day without any problems. The pastel green looks so hot in my new kitchen. I bought salt and pepper grinders and a toaster to match and love the look.

The KitchenAid electric kettle, is a must have for those opportunities when a quick cup of hot tea is needed to hit the spot. The appliance is sleek, elegant, and compact making it a perfect fit for those under-sized spaces. The chrome accent handle and spout give the appliance a stylish and classy look. Wonderful product, and an elegant design.

We have been using this kettle every day for two years and it has been holding up great. The design is very chic but also easy to use. The capacity is very sufficient for boiling water for making tea, as well as a big pan of pasta. The pistachio color compliments our kitchen perfectly, we are thinking of buying other Kitchenaid machines in the same color to match them. Also the kettle is more quiet than the other ones we tried and it boils water quickly.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and have found it to be fantastic!. Well worth the money. My previous kettles handle had started to feel very loose and wobbly(like it was about to snap off). However this handle is attached securely and I have no fear of it coming off. Really easy to use and easily accessible filter on kettle. Really pleased with this product.

Disappointing

I bought this kettle (pistachio color) in December 2023. They sprayed pistachio color inside too.

Got this as a gift to replace the identical item….apparently I used the first one so much I wore it out. I love the shape, size and performance of this kettle. After having many kettles over the years I’ve found that the spout and handle on this one function perfectly…no splashing of boiling water…pours exactly where you need it. Love the size and stainless steel finish too.

The kettle heats up faster and the cord is slightly longer compared to common brands. Seller was friendly and prompt in communication!Seller dispatch swiftly but the item was not packed in another box, one of the corner of the packaging box was dented. If courier mishandle the parcel, the kettle may be damaged. Thankfully the kettle was not damaged for my case.Overall, great experience. Thank you!

It is so cute and so convenient to fill and pours perfectly without running any water down the side. Love the color selections. We use ours for so many things besides heating water for tea… like making jello or mixing broth to make soups where you need really hot water. The size is wonderful too.

My kitchenaid electric kettle is so convenient for mad rush days, as it takes all of 15 seconds to boil water for my coffee in the morning! Wow! Plus the design is sleek and light and its automatic LED switch on/off button when the water is hot is very helpful. The lid is removable and it’s easy to wash. The dome style design is very attractive on my coffee counter. I’ve had this for over 2 years and so far no limescale deposits. Easy to care and maintain if you follow the manual instructions.

This is a great little water heating kettle! I've been using it every morning, for the past 3 weeks, to heat water for my French Press coffee. For about 32 oz. of water, it takes less than 5 minutes to heat to boiling, and it's that point that this wonderful kettle of mine clicks off by itself! In color red, it looks great on the countertop along with my red Kitchenaid 4 slice toaster!

worst $153 I've spent in a very long time!

bought for $153 (discounted from $199?). Accompanying paperwork says boil and discard water before first use. I did so and noticed a strong chemical smell emanating from the kettle. I've boiled water somewhere between 20 and 30 times now. There is still an acrid chemical smell coming from the kettle, and the boiled water tastes like the chemical smell. I'm having real trouble believing this is not a toxic health hazard. And I'm livid that I paid over $150 to end up boiling water in a saucepan on my stove top just to have a cup of tea. This will be my first and last Kitchen Aid appliance.

Love/Hate

Purchased about 2 months ago. Quite different from my previous model...different brand. Wanted to make tea in kettle, but they don't recommend it. Because the handle does not swing out of the way can't use my Filtered water from the pitcher to fill the kettle. Does not make a noise when water is boiling,( does turn itself off though....good point.). Looks nice, paid too much money just for that) The turning itself off feature does make me feel safe, however. So there you have it - Love and hate. Shipping was not fast, but packed well.
