Decent quality. WRONG MEASUREMENTS. The actual cooking surface of pan is 10.25 inch, smaller than (described 11.785) on Wayfair website. This was important to me because I make large skillet meals (4-5 servings) to allow for leftovers. Was told Wayfair provides their measurements as given by manufacturer and not confirmed by Wayfair. That's too bad because I need a larger saute pan and chose this pan because of the described measurement, which as stated, is WRONG.
Best large pan I ever had
so far so good. I am a big kitchenaid fan overall and I wanted a pan to match my current cookware set. Other than the nonstick coating peeling off of the rivets inside of my other kitchenaid pans, this one is holding up. I like the silicone covered handles and weight of this pan. It's amazing for cooking for a full house. well worth the price in my opinion.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. The pan I received was a return with a large dent. The pan was in badly damaged manufacturers packaging. This made it obvious that it was a return being passed on to me. The shipping box was also extremely damaged and then reused with a lot of additional packaging tape. I have heard of this happening to others before but it is my first experience with this shoddy sales practice. The only positive about this experience was the return process was painless at the Kohl’s store. This will be my last online purchase from Kohl’s.
Quality saute pan
An excellent pan at a nice price. parallel walls, respectable depth. Beautifully weighted, solidly constructed with a non-vented glass lid. the 2 handles are helpful. The non-stick surface is faultless and after several cooking and cleaning experiences has been as advertised. I believe it is critically important to stay within the guidelines for use and cleaning. This is not suitable as a wok substitute as the high heat requirement for a wok is beyond what any nonstick surface (or aluminum pan) can withstand. Oven safe to 400F, Do not use in an automatic dishwasher. This is my go-to pan for any saute project, eggs, meat or vegetable patties. This was delivered to my home well packed and protected. I anticipate it will stand the test of time well.
Love, love this frying pan!
I make stirfry often and have been dissatisfied with the size (a bit too small) for a long time. But I hadn't been able to find one that suited me. This frying pan is PERFECT! It's wider and deeper than the pan I had been using, has a lid, and cleans easily. But what puts it over the top is the weight. While it's certainly sturdy, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly heavy or awkward to manipulate even when full of the stirfry, It was worth waiting until I found this frying pan.
[Rewarded Review] Perfect Pan
This pan is such high quality! 5 quart is the perfect size and the pan is very heavy duty. Made with andodized aluminum to ensure even heat distribution. The tempered glass lid fits perfectly on top and the handle doesn't heat up so you can remove the lid easily. The handles on both sides of the pan made it easy to move and pick up. This is non-stick, easy to clean and perfect for everyday use. I use this almost daily to cook a variety of different foods and it's easily my favorite, go-to pan.
[Rewarded Review] Fantastic Pan
This has a really nice, quality, durable look and feel. The attractiveness is just where it starts. It feels very heavy duty and has two handles to be able to make it easier to move while cooking. I know the size is already stated, but I think it undermines what the pan holds. I made chicken stir fry with four peppers, two onions, one zucchini and four chicken breasts in this pan. I was able to cook the chicken first and used olive oil. Nothing stick to the pan. After I was done cooking, the pan sat on the stove for about an hour and a half and when it came time to clean it, the remnants rinsed out, no scrubbing required. I waited as usual and there aren’t any scratches. Also, a huge bonus is that neither handle got hot. That’s an issue with a lot of pans, but I didn’t need my heat protective gloves to use it. Overall, a perfect pan that I can cook an entire meal for my family of four in. Bravo!
[Rewarded Review] Love my pan!
I purchased the KitchenAid 5 quart sauté pan actually as a chicken frying pan. I enjoy making fried chicken wings from time to time and I was looking for a medium gauge pan that will not scorch that has a lid. I was lucky to find this pan because it fries my chicken evenly and the pan does not scorch. I like the nonstick surface and I am super happy It came with a lid. This is a great quality pan for a good price.
[Rewarded Review] Great pan
Kitchenaid makes some of the best pots and pans, and this sauté pan is no exception. Unlike other similar size pans, the walls of the pan are deeper which works well with the type of things I cook. The pan is heavy duty and has a good amount of weight to it. The lid handle and pan handle are rubberized for good grip. The helper handle helps stabilize the pan, which makes it easy for me to move around as needed. There are no issues with food sticking to the bottom and clean up is simple. Overall an excellent pan to use on a daily basis.
[Rewarded Review] Scratches easily
The pan came very well packaged but had some scratches on the lid. I have used this pan a couple times now and have enjoyed it so far. The non-stick works great and love how the rivets are non-stick too which makes cleaning so much easier. I also like how deep the pan is. It makes cooking a little less messy on the stove. However, one thing I really do not like about this pan is how easily it scratches. I have only used plastic spatulas on this pan and have been very careful about not scraping hard and not cooking anything hard in it but I still find so many scratches in it. Makes it questionable how long the non-stick coating would last since it scratches off so easily. I had high expectations on this pan since KitchenAid is a well-known brand but I am not overly impressed and quite disappointed at how easily it scratches.
[Rewarded Review] My new favorite pan
This KitchenAid 5-Quart Saute Pan is such a great pan. It is solid and sturdy but lightweight and so easy to handle. It has nice depth to it and is a good size without being too big. The handles are strong and secure. The lid fits securely. The pan has a heavy bottom that really helps it to heat evenly and cooks very nicely. The finish seems quite durable. This pan is great quality in materials and design. I am really happy with it and have been using it tons since it is so comfortable to handle.
[Rewarded Review] 5 q pan
I got this KitchenAid 5-Quart Saute Pan with Lid in black color Love this pan. Large enough to space things out and heats evenly. This is our second one. It's just the right size for tossing in a pound of meat to brown, sauteeing chicken breasts, veggies, whatever. Great quality brand Higley recommended get whole set so you match everything Pan and more .
[Rewarded Review] Heats Fast and doesn't stick!
I simply love this Saute pan! Now I am using this on a non-induction glasstop stove and it works great! Heat up time is fast and everything I have cooked so far in it does not stick or leave stuck on residue, and cleanup is a breeze! The pan size is a very large 5-quarts which is perfect for when I make sausage gravy, which for me requires a big pan! The handles for the pan itself as well as the glass top look to have a very nice non-slip coating and I feel no heat from cooking coming through the handles. As with anything I have ever owned from KitchenAid this pan is well made and looks like it as well as the coating will last a LONG time to come.
