Good experience
Projection image quality is good, even for daytime. The motor noise is enough small, especially in eco mode.
[Rewarded Review] Great projector
Good resolution. Easy to mount; we mounted it upside down using mounting brackets. It works great with our Samsung surround sound system.
Dead after using it 4 times!!!
At first I was very happy with this projector, great image, great response. I bought it only for home use, but after the 4th time I was going to watch a movie, after a while safely stored, the projector simply won't turn on. 3 lights blinking and that is it. It's GONE!!!
Replacement Projector for Beekeeping Education
I bought Optoma HD146X Home Entertainment DLP Projector from Scan a few weeks ago for our Beekeeping Branch, as a replacement for (10 years+) old Optoma, that had finally given up the ghost. I was very pleased with the speed and hassle-free delivery when it arrived within 24 hours of ordering. My only slight concern was that it comes without a lead to connect to the laptop and also the power cable is two pin continental (rather than UK 3 pin) but both of these problems were quickly and easily surmountable as we already have suitable cables from our old projector.
[Rewarded Review] Big, bright and bold!
After dealing with electrical issues (after 8 years), I just upgraded from a BenQ 1080 projector to the Optoma HD146X. I actually didn't expect a major different in picture quality, but the brightness of this projector changes everything. The picture is much bolder for lack of a better term, and whereas I rarely used my old projector during the daytime, this one is bright enough to offer an awesome image even in bright surroundings.
[Rewarded Review] A great HD projector
I was very happy with the HD146X projector. It was easy to setup and performed very well. I spend several weeks reviewing projectors and settled on this one because of its features that compare to much more expensive projectors. I doesn't have some of the fancy bells and whistles but is is a great product for the price.
[Rewarded Review] Dying after 1 year
The image is great and overall we would be happy with this product accept that we had to return the first one because an internal component came unglued after 2 weeks. This second one lasted right at a year before dead pixels started popping up on our image. It started right around the one year mark and has been rapidly getting worse.
HD146x is a boss
Great mid price projector. Extremely bright with vivid colors. Good for day time viewing (with curtains closed of course) and FANTASTIC at night! I only wish this had a better throw. The farther you move the projector back more real estate. Extra inputs would be nice too. I get a bigger (but inferior) picture with my mini pico projector. I promise you be happy with this purchase. Just have a streaming stick and some speakers with Bluetooth connectivity. HD146x is a boss
Better Than Expected
i read lots of reviews but give very little. I bought this projector after owning a knock off amazon projector. And boy howdy this Optoma projector is light years beyond that thing.Im projecting onto a 100" manual pull down screen and the image is crisp. 25x better than the knock off. Great for watching sports, movies, and gaming. Every review said "its noisy" but id have to disagree. The unit runs right over where youre sitting and noise is minimal. Very happy with this product.
Fantastic!
I got this as swap about from my 50" plasma that ive had for years, i needed something small and compact and lightweight as i live quite a nomadic life moving around alot and my tv was ridiculously heavy and large and really did expel a large amount of heat which had its uses depending on the time of year but overall became a hindrance but needed something that provides the same quality on everything or better.
Michael's review of Optoma HD146X Full HD Home Cinema Projector
Pros: Great picture quality. So Easy to set up. Will definitely get a lot of use out of it.
Stuck at Home Now ‘Optomal‘
Like most people who’ve been cooped up at home for the last six months, finding an escape from the collapse of civilization that won’t destroy your marriage or damage your liver has become an Optomal pursuit (see what I did there?). This is where the Optoma Technology HD 146X Full HD DLP Home Theater Projector comes in. Def so high, every wrinkle, every bit of dander and speck of mud beckons you to step into an alternate world. A machine so quiet you can hear the zombies coming. And the remote control is nice because being able to turn the projector off without having to move from the blanket cocoon, so carefully constructed, is important when you want to sit in the dark and stare into the void for an indeterminate amount of time because time no longer has meaning, minutes and hours are null, and there are only episodes of ‘Girls’ and Adam Driver’s beautiful, giant, lop-sided face in so much def I can see every mole on it.
[Rewarded Review] Amazing picture
Even with my shades open in my living room, the picture is amazing. Worth the purchase. The ability to change setting is a huge plus. Keystone works amazingly. The zoom and focus on this projector is superior. It has 3D viewing ability of which I have yet to try out.
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful Picture on a Budget
Huge visual upgrade from my previous 10+ year old projector. Easy to use and setup. Only issues would be that the internal speakers are too quiet to really use, so you would want a soundbar or external speakers. Yet, the lowest volume setting is way too loud when using headphones directly. Needed to buy a separate headphone amplifier with an volume knob to manage that. That aside, I'm loving it.
[Rewarded Review] amazing
We bought this to show HD movies to our youth group and community outside during this time of social distancing. The picture quality is really clear. It looks great at night but even looks good in the light. Would buy this again in a heartbeat.
[Rewarded Review] Great product
So far so good with the projector. Wish it had more than 1 hdmi port but other than that no complaints. Have it mounted on ceiling about 12-13 feet away from wall and I’m getting a 120” screen. Picture quality is solid, definitely ready to watch sports on it.
