Very happy with purchase. I had mine professionally installed, but there is a Pleasant Hearth video that shows exactly how to do it. There are several steps and it takes about an hour to install.

Pleasant Hearth Fireplace Doors

This is a very attractive fireplace door accessory. It has two additional doors inside the glass to keep sparks and firey coals from popping out. The doors take the place of the old interior screen. The only thing I don't like about this product is the apparent gold coloration at the top and bottom of the doors. I was expecting a shiney gold, but it appears that metal was placed at the top and bottom of the doors and painted gold. Would look better with shiney gold.

They look very nice against the new granite hearth stone and the installation we simple. The item is very well constructed and much better than the one I replaced. The price was a good value as well.

It's easy to give high grades to a brand new product. I liked what I saw. It fit just as described. It has been functioning great. I like the swing open screens as they are much easier than the curtain style. They use magnets on both the screens and the glass doors and, if memory serves me, I learned that heat is one of the forces that can eliminate magnetic force. They say not to close the glass with a fire inside when my old unit worked well with that. (Had to clean more often but I could close them.)
