Bathroom faucet

Every one of these in my house has failed!

I have three of these bathroom faucets and all three have problems with the drain assembly. One is leaking beneath the drain and the lever controlling the drain no longer works on any of them. In addition, the one for the bathtub is also broken and will now not switch from the spray attachment. I am now trying to figure out the most cost-effective way to fix all of these problems. I am incredibly disappointed with American Standard.

[Rewarded Review] Avoid this faucet

I have had two of these faucets for over a year. While they look good and work well, initially, their poor quality catches up. I have had to replace the cartridges in both because they were leaking. According to plumber the problem is that the faucet body corrodes at the point of contact with the "O" rings of the cartridge. So replacing the cartridge is only going to be a short term fix. The chrome is also peeling on the estucheon ring on one and the cartridge cap on the other. I have a similar style Grohe on another sink that is over 3 years old and has none of these issues. The plumber told me that these are common problems they encounter with this American Standard model.

Contemporary faucet. Sleek and pretty cool design. Much nicer than the standard go to single handle faucet.

Modern Style and function at a great price

I bought two of these for my main bath a year ago. I love the style and quality. I looked at a lot of expensive fixtures and have some in my home. But these give you a great modern contemporary look at half the price. I highly recommend them.

Nice design but complicateions with maintenance

We installed this faucet 7 years ago. It looks great and is convenient to operate, but we have a technical problem. About a year ago it began to leak slightly around the escutcheon ring. There is very limited access to plumbers in our rural area, so I wanted to remove and replace the seals myself. Problem is that the handle would not come off after I removed the handle screw, as it should have done according to the Instruction Manual. I did not want to force it so I called AS technical support, but they could not offer any solution other than to recommend prying off the handle and installing a replacement they would send me under warranty. I am concerned that such a procedure might damage other parts of the fitting. An added complication is that the handle screw fell inside the handle when I was removing it, and now cannot be retrieved. While this is an exceptionally good looking product, I would not recommend it to anyone who does not have easy access to a plumber for routine maintenance.

nice faucet

Just what I ordered: a streamlined faucet, looks great with one lever to control the water flow, without any extra gimmicks or heavy hardware. Our installer said it was the nicest faucet he had ever installed.

Modern look at an excellent price.

We are updating a bath. Love these faucets. They really freshen up the bath, great quality, nice feel to the lever when you turn on and off, and good price. We also got the bath/shower trim with the Hansgrohe shower head. Looks much more expensive than it is.

Great faucet. Sleek and modern

This is our third bathroom renovation in three years and we've loved this faucet so much, we used it in each of our three bathrooms. Even three years later is looks fresh and modern.

Great Faucet

This faucet is very sturdy and it looks great in my bathroom. We've been using it for a month, and everything has just been perfect.

Classy faucet

I love the look of the faucet and the way the water comes out at a slight angle. This makes it work nicely even when mounted behind the sink as we did. The only issue was the extreme difficulty I had installing it due to the thickness of our counter. We put 3/8" tile over 3/4" plywood and the resulting thickness made it nearly impossible to get the faucet in place. Initially, I disconnected the cable leading to the plug, only to discover that it was impossible to re-connect it when the faucet is in place. Finally, I was able to just manage by un-screwing the cable connector until nearly off and wedging the under-counter flange in place, adding the gasket last, then tightening the nut and cable connection. Another 1/8" of thickness and it would have been impossible.

design great, function perfect

Picked this faucet because of the design and was not disappointed. It was easy to install and has been functioning perfectly since being installed (as I would expect for a new product from any manufacturer).

Good looking , but they don't work.

We installed this collection of faucets in our tub and two sinks. They installed easily.

Great look in contempory master bathroom

I had 2 of these faucets installed in the master bath. They look great. The plumber who installed them said he has the same faucet and really likes it.
