Pleased overall

I like filtered water and the PUR filters are good. Takes out the odd taste of tap water. I gave it four stars instead of five stars because it seems to not do as well after about seven weeks. Other than that I am happy with the filters.

Not as good as reverse osmosis, but much better than store brand or the other brand.

They are no where near as good as the Pur max Ion plus.

Excellent idea to use!

These filter will help but the only thing I have a problem with is it still has a taste in it that I don't like and was told to empty and refill again so I did and that helps a bit.

These filters are easy to install and take a short time to install.

Not so good

I used to really like this company and the PUR pitcher is what my family has used for many years, but the last batch of filters filters through extremely slowly. It is about 30 minutes to filter a full refill of the top. It also leaks the carbon granules in the top area. We follow the directions, so I’m not sure why it is a problem.

One of the filters was defective. It leaked charcoal and the water wouldn’t run through it although i repeated the soaking procedure twice. First time I’ve had a problem. These are too expensive to fail.

PUR is the only water filter I use and I drink a lot of water. The filters can be rather pricey, however, Walmart has the best price around.

Short Lasting and Overpriced

These filters don't last as long as they did a few years ago. These have been carefully and purposefully manufactured so that they clog up faster and require changing more often. They used to last for more than 6 months with the same amount of use. Not anymore. Further, they cost much more even though the cost of the raw materials used to make them haven't gone up much. I guess I have to start looking for an alternative manufacturer,-- even if they come from China.

Drinkable?

Water tastes ok. Not sure it’s filtering out all it claims. Who could truly know without testing the water?

fits the water dispenser we have by PUR even if the filter is longer than the original one we had. water tastes great.
