best if protected from the rain

Installation doesn’t include a system for fitting tightly to stucco. The fit is not watertight. The holes of the bracket didn’t align with the j-box for the screws. I was able to modify and complete the installation then caulked the gaps at the top to try and keep water out of the j-box. It looks good. It is not an LED fixture, but the LED light bulb that is included does an adequate job of lighting the door by our side garage walkway. I wouldn’t recommend it because I think installing it without a water barrier might be a little hazardous.

Nice Looking Light

Nice looking light fixture. It appears to be made from quality materials and should last for a long time. The provided 60W equivalent LED bulb gives more than adequate light. My reasons for the 3 Star rating have to do with quality items that can be fixed. As received, the part that mounts to the wall and the lens portion were clocked about 10 degrees off from each other. If mounted to a level mount, it would be necessary to remove the fixture and fix. There is one screw that connects the bottom of the wall mount to the lens portion, loosen that screw and twist the pieces until the parts are aligned with each other, then tighten the screw. All 4 of the ball nuts that secure the lens part of the light to the top were just barely started onto the screws. The lens were rattling and loose. Tightening the screws securely fixed that. The hardware furnished was only a mount ring. No screws furnished to attach it to the box or mount block. No wire nuts furnished. On a new install, these small hardware items are necessary and usually furnished with a fixture. After rounding up the necessary hardware, aligning the parts of the fixture and tightening the loose nuts, it was an easy install and looks very good.

Simple large outdoor light

Looking to remove older style lanterns along a large wall and many of the modern fixtures were just too small for this project. This light is simple and clean while large enough to not get lost. Shade needs handling to avoid grease marks - will keep an eye on this through installation.

Exactly what we wanted; I like the simple but modern design. The backplate is robust and solid; the covering for the light is visually very pleasing. Overall would suit a modern look.

21st Century Craftmanship

The glass shade, size are great and the fixture looks as expected. But the aluminum backboard is pretty flimsy. It's serviceable now that it's against the siding, but I fear it will easily dent and/or warp.

Lights are the style I wanted so was willing to pay a little more. They were packed well, but the arm on both lights was slightly bent - easy enough to straighten. Some minor dents in the base, but very minor, otherwise would be 5 stars. Hoping they last a long time.

Versatile piece that arrived on time and in great shape

I was looking for a chic modern sconce that's reasonably priced and was very happy when I found this item on build.com. My construction project is hitting a weather related delay so I haven't installed yet, but there doesn't appear to be any damages to the item on arrival. Can't wait to see it gets installed!
