perimeter is dark
This is a gorgeous fixture when turned off. But the perimeter is opaque metal, so when the light is turned on, the wavy white shapes are backlit and dark, instead of the soft color you'd get with a traditional fabric shade. The overall effect seems harsh to me.
Perfect
It’s quite whimsical. Above is a ceiling medallion that has historical importance to the house, but they blend well together- better than many other light fixtures.

I bought this for my home office. I love the look of it and it gives off a good, bright light. It was tough to install though since it is so close to the ceiling. I needed a friend to help hold it while I secured it.

This is one of my favourite Wayfair purchases ever. The fixture is so beautiful in my kitchen and gives of such a beautiful light. Modern but beautiful and unique. I have it on a dimmer (first picture) so I adjust it to a soft evening light or a bright light for cooking.
