Cannot be used for thin wall installation
We paid a hefty sum to have our Moen diverter removed and Kohler installed. We are putting in a solid surround that mounts directly to the wall. This diverter requires a 1/2" wallboard. It cannot be installed with a direct-to-wall surround. When we contacted FaucetDirect to ask if Kohler sold a different diverter cartridge and they didn't know. We asked if they sold a spacer that could make up the 1/2" gap between the face plate and the shower wall, they didn't know. The diverter itself isn't bad. But FaucetDirect didn't disclose that it couldn't be installed with a thin wall.
