This Delta tub spout was identical to the spout I had before, easy to unscrew old spout and screw new one on.

Adapter does not have set-screw option for pex

I replaced a Delta Bathtub Spout with Diverter that appeared to be the same, but was disappointed that the new adapter that attaches onto the pipe out of the shower wall was only made to screw onto a pipe nipple. My shower has pex pipe coming from the wall and has an adapter with a set screw to attach it to the pex piping. I had to reuse the old adapter (although I replaced the o-ring with the new one). Disappointed the packing did not mention the type of adapter in the package and it is inside the spout in the packaging so you cannot see.

Double check so you do buy used picked apart junk

I bought two of these, and good thing frist one was a return by someone else. Package was open and someone had already pulled the inners of th spout out and returned it

Don't throw the old one out until the job is done!

I needed to salvage some fittings from the old spout to make the new one screw on to the threaded pipe coming out of the wall. Once I did that, everything was quick and leak free.

Fits perfectly with the short nipple from wall.

Was easy to compare with my old tub spout and get the right one.

Great Replacement-Metal Inner Parts

Built very well compared to the Danco that has plastic internal parts. I am not sure why there would be negative reviews. Take your time and fully understand exactly which tub spout you need to purchase. Follow the instructions which are quite simple. There might be better ones available but not at this price point in my opinion. Always a good practice to run a bead of silicone around the spout. Highly recommend.

Perfect Replacement

Very easy to install. Removed the old one and installed this one in a matter of a minute. Turned the water on, ran the shower and it worked perfectly! No drips when the shower was on.

Disappointing Junk

First and most importantly, this thing is unique and does not work as a standard 1/2" npt or a 1/2" slip on replacement. I'm pretty sure this thing only works as a replacement for a Delta specific setup and there is no easy way to make it work otherwise. Secondly, the spout itself is just a piece of plastic dipped in chrome. There is a little brass insert but everything else is plastic garbage. Finally, this thing is packaged as "theft resistant" so you will have to cut it open, thus eliminating any chance of returning it.

It's leaking from the back and made of cheap plast

I installed this spout and found I paid $30 for a plastic part. The off brand options were half the price and real metal. More importantly, it's leaking from the back when I use the diverter for a shower. I'll definitely return it, but I have to take a shower tomorrow morning before work. Hope this doesn't rot my walls.

extremely cheap

Chrome plated plastic. Cannot believe this is the only Delta spout Lowe’s has in stock. Quality on this is extremely cheap.

plastic trash

I paid more for Delta. It turned out to be plastic trash. I’m not going to install something that will immediately get scratched the first time I wash the bathroom. Nowhere on the packaging do they say it’s decorative plastic. What a sham.

[Rewarded Review] Chrome Plated Plastic :-(

I purchased this brand of tub spout because I wanted Delta quality. However, it is not comparable to the quality of the original spout. The original spout weighs noticeably more than this because it is made of real metal. The only metal I could see was the connection to the incoming water supply. Otherwise, it is chrome covered plastic. It appeared to be compatible given the information available. However, it did not work with my Delta Classic 604 tub and shower kit, which is about twenty-five years old, and has the crystal ball handle with a diamond-shaped stem (when the plastic adapter is removed from stem). The original also has a diverter that pulls from the bottom. Not only could I see some of the pipe coming out of the wall after this was installed, but it leaked when the water was turned off. Perhaps, it was not the correct replacement part. If you have the type of shower tub/kit I do, you may have to order the correct part, so I hope this review will save you the inconvenience of returning the product. However, the quality of this is not the same as your original parts.

Our old spout broke and Delta no longer makes that model. This was a great, economical choice as a replacement. It worked perfectly with the adapter that was installed with the original Delta spout.

We replaced the tub faucet with diverter at the same time with the water control trim kit to refresh all the chrome in the bathtub. This was an easy upgrade with quality Delta parts and they look great. We are happy with our purchase.

Tub Diverter

We purchased one, didn't work. Took it back, purchased another one just like the first, it wouldn't work either. Both fit fine just wouldn't divert water. Took it back. Called Delta. They said it should have worked but they would send us another one. They did and it worked fine. Go figure. The ones purchased at Lowe's had not been opened or the one from Delta but 2 didn't work and one did.

Delta "chrome" plated plastic

I was looking to replace the tub spout and match the Delta faucet. This model was a bit more expensive than some of the other options, but I thought, "go for the Delta quality faucet" only to get home and find that the spout was chrome-plated plastic. I went ahead and installed it anyway, but seemed way over-priced.

First off, disn't use it. Seems to be the now standard Delta metal over plastic. I ended up using the Lahara version which is similarly constructed. Works fine. It uses the O ring to seal inside. I have the installation down so it's no biggie. I would recommend, but I still prefer all metal threaded connections.
