Buy a real handle, not a dummy

The dummy handle requires drilling screw holes all the way through the door (for the top and bottom portions of the exterior handle) AND they do not provide the washer or cap for the interior side of the bottom fastener AND the dummy handle is more expensive than the real handle. You’re better off just buying a second real handle and installing it without the latch mechanism.

Ugly looks on double door

I purchased this San Clemente dummy handleset to go along with my matching San Clemente handleset with Halo fingerprint lock on my operating door. When installed in a door’s pre-drilled holes, the alignment of the dummy lock is more than 3/4” closer to the handleset than on the operating side. I contacted Kwikset about this, & they said there is nothing they can do - that is the way they make them. For the price of this lockset you would think it should look good - it doesn’t.
