A referral to shop at the Home Depot paid off!
I purchased the pump as my previous one did not work any longer. As the gadget has not been in use for very long I can't really give it a fair review however, the service at the company who owned the pump was stellar, the salesman offered helpful advice and suggested Home Depot as a place to get the pump at a good price. To me that was invaluable advice and I respected the honesty shown and his sincere effort to help me out.
Macerating Pump
It is a good pump, but the reason that I have purchased it was because the first one I had (exact model) failed after 5 years, with very little wear and tear on it. And way too expensive for what it is!
It's OK.
This unit works OK, but I have had trouble with the membrane and micro switch failing which caused the unit to run until it burnt out the motor. The maintenance steps to replace the switch membrane is a pain in the neck. If you have an option to put in a below the slab tank and macerator pump I would do that. Otherwise, this system is your next best option.
Replaced my Saniflow macerator which was about 20 years old. Everything fit perfectly and has worked flawlessly since. Was easier to install than I expected.
this unit came on time which was great. It was slightly smaller then the original Sani. It took about 45 minutes to install and be in service.
Ridiculously Expensive But Worth It
Had the original version from 2014 to 2023. I had bought it second hand, and installed it myself, to deal with just the toilet, but the sink and shower tub. It was used dozens of times a week for probably 5 years. It didn't owe us anything. When it failed, I bought this version from Home Depot. It is fantastic. Ridiculously expensive, though. There are other manufacturers who make some up-flush toilets at 1/3 the price, but I didn't want to take the risk.
Replacement pump
I had to replace the pump after 10 years or so of occasional use. The unit never stopped pumping, and the back up valve malfunctioned (2 separate issues). So i decided to buy a new unit. Replacement went very well and the new pump is definitely quieter than my old one. I do recommend the product, but i wish my old one would've lasted longer.
Broken twice
I am replacing my original saniplus tank that was 10 years old. I ordered a replacement from Lowes website. My first tank was damaged. There was broken plastic inside. I returned it and reordered. My second tank arrived and the first thing i did was inspect it. The second was also damaged with loose plastic in the tank. After inspecting it closely, I discovered the plastic tabs that hold the pump and switch assembly were broke. This seems like some poor quality control from saniflo. The original unit worked great for 10 years.
Top notch, easy to install
If you have a basement bathroom where the sewage lines run above that height, you need one of these nifty things to make it work. I have used this product for a while now, and the previous one lasted 6 years before something went wrong with it. Lowes was one of the best prices for it and available for a quick pick up.

Easy to assemble. I just replaced and old broken one with this product. Luckily all the connections and everything were same. It's been a couple months. Some number 2 usage, mostly 1. So far so good. No issues so far.

We purchased this system 5 years ago when we were building an in-law area in our basement and I researched every possible unit I could and settled on the SANIPLUS Saniflo. It was easy to install (make sure you know what you are doing and read ALL directions) and it worked great. We had the unit hooked up to a kitchen sink, bathroom sink, bathroom shower and toilet. It worked like a charm, even though my MIL isn't exactly the easiest on things and may put things down her kitchen sink she isn't supposed to, but the system handled it all. It was in constant, every day use. After 5 years, we needed to replace just the macerator unit, so I checked online and every place sells them for about the same price, with the exception that Home Essentials Direct had a "Like New" model for $100 cheaper. We purchased it and everything was perfect. It came with all parts and all directions and all accessories for mounting it. We got the deal we needed to replace this at the perfect time. This is a workhorse of a unit and trust me, from someone who has had it for 5 years, it DOES WORK!

This is my second device for an additional bathroom built in the condominium. First one worked 6 years. Because it was not possible to reach pipes under the floor I have found this option 6 years ago. It is not cheep -around $1,600 with installation but very convenient and sometimes - is the only option. It is silent, reliable and convenient. Would recommend for specific situations.
The rating is for Supply House
This product is popular because it's an inexpensive way to add a toilet. But the product is so-so at best. I have been told that no one else's is better, but that isn't saying much. I CAN say that Supply House was excellent. As good a price as anyone else, prompt or better shipping, well-packaged.

This is quieter than the one it replaces. I have no idea how old the one before was, at least 7 years old and same brand. The replacement was easy, as easy as dealing with sewage can be. I had to reuse fittings from the old unit since the ones it came with were not the right sizes, no big deal. So far so good, hopefully it lasts.
[Rewarded Review] Side inlets
I have been using a Saniplus in our guest bathroom for about 20 years. It did not get continued use but was used several times a week. I purchased a new mascerating unit to replace the old one that could not be depended on to work. It had served its purpose. The problem I had with the new one was that the company changed the side inlets from 1½" to 2". My discharge from the shower and the sink were 1½". There was one rubber 1½"x2" reducer in the box but I needed two. I was able to find a similar part at our local hardware store so it worked out OK. I don't know why they changed the inlet size as the 1½" lines worked fine. There was no water backing up when we took a long shower. My inlet lines are still 1½" and the new Saniplus works great!

This is my second pump. My first one lasted 13 years (My washing machine discharges to the pump as well, so the motor saw a lot of action in 13 years). I can tell that this pump is a better design than the ones from years past. I feel that it's quieter. It also hooked up to my old toilet just fine. The only thing, ONLY THING, that's annoying is that the discharge hole and the vent hole are on opposite sides of the new pumps than they were on the older pumps (If you're putting this in new for the first time, then this isn't an issue. But if you're replacing an old pump, it's a little annoying. My first thought was to connect the discharge line first with as few parts as possible, and then re-work the vent line with whatever you need to do to make it work. Fortunately, I only had to add a 45 degree PVC elbow and small connector pipe to connect into the existing discharge line. To be honest, it really wasn't a big headache to get around (it's just something you'll want to know about beforehand so that it isn't a shock)). It took me about an hour and a half to put the new pump in place of the old pump and run some new pipe pieces.

Had unit shipped overnight. I knew something was wrong when the shipping box was covered in oil, then pulled the saniflo box from the shipping box and everything was covered in oil. I guess the oil in the motor is not sealed as advertised, wonder how many leak after installation and prematurely fail due to lack of lubrication. Only got 4 years out of the first one I installed. Wonder if was a lack of lube failure....
Saniflo SaniPlus 0.5 HP 115-Volt Macerator Pump
Wonderful. Worth the $788. Easy to install as a replacement. I am a woman. Only needed a screwdriver and a utility knife to cut a part off to size ... to fit an existing pipe size.

This was my second SaniPlus in 9 years. I was very disappointed when it arrived damaged. The damage was not caused by shipping, but by the person that package the product. I think I was sent someone's broken product, very disappointed. This happened twice, and I decided to go with the SaniAccess 3 and was very happy with that model. The capacitor on these units seem to be the weak point and the SaniAccess 3 has an area to fix the capacitor without getting messy, literally! :)
