Magnetic Pull-down failed
I had this faucet installed a year ago, and while I like its finish and style, I'm disappointed that the magnetic pulldown feature has stopped locking in place. I've contacted the company andnor the "Lifetime Warranty," but I'll have to pay a plumber again. I should have listened to their recommendation to stick with a standard company in the industry for this exact reason.
Best decision I've made
My plumber told me about this site. I needed a new faucet but was skeptical of the big hardware stores and others that sold faucets as you never really knew the quality you would get. Most of the time the products were plastic or half plastic or just didn't last.
Big Mistake - Too bad a zero star rating isn't possible
This faucet is good for about a year. Prorated, that's not good enough. The darned thing started leaking like crazy. Kraus will only send parts - you can pay a plumber to install them or learn to become a plumber yourself. No faucet replacement. I will never buy a Kraus product again as long as I live. Just over a year, forget it. I have never had a desire to become a plumber. I can buy a new faucet for the price of installing the parts. It's pretty but what good is nice looking if it doesn't work?
Spray Head & Hose Return into Casing Faulty
Looks great, spray head/hose doesn't return into the faucet casing as advertised. Very disappointed. Not sure if I just got a lemon or this is manufacturing defect. Was just installed four days ago. I may do a replacement now or when I redo entire kitchen, but will get something entirely different. Again, Looks great but the 'return' is an issue.
This type of faucet goes with pretty much any decor. I've had this for a few years now and just bought another one for a rental. The finish cleans up easily. The only downside is that sometimes the weighted cord under the sink gets caught in my plumbing pipes and it doesn't fully go back into the faucet holder after I pull it out... this makes the flow really slow. However I just pull it out again and readjust. I think this may just be an issue with the placement of my pipes and it didn't keep me from ordering another.
Great choice for kitchen upgrade
It looks and feels substantial -- real metal instead of plastic. Newly bought and installed by my husband. I like it's sleek, restrained style which goes remarkably well with my cottage style kitchen with blue cabinets. Rubbed oil finish matches the cabinet hardware and minimizes the stainless steel overload from appliances. The color actually picks up the veining in my granite and makes it look less dated. The pull down spray fits more tightly than I expected; it seems to lock somehow.
So far so good. I installed the faucet a couple...
So far so good. I installed the faucet a couple of weeks ago. Everything works well on the faucet including the spray button, so far no drips. It was very easy to install and included braided stainless supply lines. The only issue I have have is it is not smooth when you swing the spout side to side. It’s like you can feel the o ring seal grabbing a little. The body is pretty light so l am assuming it is cast zinc not brass but that should be expected for the price. Hopefully the finish holds up long term. Overall a great value and good looking faucet that works well.
I bought this in August 2020, installed September 2020. It looks nice, installs easy, has good water pressure. I noticed some water dribbling around the head around March 2021 (less than 8 months since install). Currently, in June 2021, water sprays out of the backend of the head, and it has forced a significant amount of the water stream up the neck of the faucet and down into the cabinet below my sink. It's been full of water and now I have to check for mold damage. I can't recommend this product, and I'm not sure if I can get a replacement.
before i begin, please note i am a professional master plumber with 29 years in the trade. i have installed hundreds of faucets. this one said "commercial grade" on the listing page, ummm... No, it is not. although seems to be built well, it exhibits many features of a home store budget fixture. i worry about it's ability to hold up over years of use. there was a huge problem when i tried to use the 3 hole adapter plate, as the plastic mount and seal that goes under the chrome part did not fit. there was no way it could possibly work. it was like the part was for a different faucet. i installed the faucet without it, old school style with putty, but wonder what the average DIY homeowner would have done. in all i guess it was ok for the price, but doubtful i would buy again.
Faucet head screams 18 months after install
Installed in May 2019. Around a year and half later, the facet head makes very loud screechy sound and flips from aerate mode to spray mode. And appears like some turbine inside is making the screaming sound, which is first sign that it may flip from aerate mode to spray mode.
I love this faucet. I know a lot of the reviews I read talked negatively about the light weight hand piece. It was surprising light before it was put together, almost like it was made of plastic but I think it's just a lighter weight metal. Once installed you can't tell at all that it is a lighter metal and it works great. I assume the lighter metal helps to keep it winding back up into the neck. The height is perfect an works great. Really love it!!
I love this faucet. The hose has a great reach and the neck of the faucet pivots easily as I'm spraying out food gunk from the corners of the sink. If you use the spray option (as opposed to stream) it automatically switches back to stream when the water is turned off. It did take me a minute to figure out that pulling the handle toward the front of the sink is hot, away is cold. I think my last faucet was the opposite. Also, the finish matches stainless steel appliances and hardware. I also ordered this faucet in chrome to compare and ended up sending the chrome back.
It's a gorgeous faucet and functions very well, especially for the price. The sprayer works well, the pull out goes back in smoothly, and I love the design which blends modern and traditional. I bought this faucet to replace my Moen kitchen faucet and this one actually feels much higher quality in form and function than my Moen. Something to be aware of it that it's listed as "Stainless Steel" in color, but this faucet actually matches my "Brushed Nickel" accessories (my cabinet knobs and pulls). All this said, there's one huge dealbreaker for me, and the reason for my 2-star review, and that's that I just noticed the finish is PEELING on the handle (see the pic)! Today is day three of using it and I just now noticed it. Not sure if it came that way or not, but given the wear and tear a kitchen faucet must stand up to, this is a BIG red flag. I love the rest of it so much that I am going to exchange it for a new one of the same and hope the peeling issue was just a fluke. Fingers crossed. I'll update my review when I get the new one.
