My bestie lives 6 hours away so I wanted to surprise her on her last visit. I love the little house lamps. They look really nice, but the chimney on hers had a flaw in the wood, and they used glue to smooth it down and it's obvious. Mine also has a piece of wood missing on the chimney. It doesn't affect the performance, but it does surprise me for the cost. However, the light up is awesome and immediate. I had hoped it would be chargeable and not need to be plugged in all the time, so I could move it from room to room with me. Maybe sometime in the future? One other thing, it would be nice to send coded messages without using my phone. It just seems silly to use my phone to send light up messages, why do I even need the lamp in that case? However, what I LOVE is that my colour (pink) and her colour (yellow) works just by touching the lamp. Sometimes we go back and forth immediately, sometimes we just turn it on and then eventually the other will see it and respond. This is just a really cool way to stay in touch, and although I see opportunities to improve in the future, I'm so happy we got these and use them to communicate. To be fair - I got a super sale and purchased it for half price, so there's not much disappointment.

I love lamp!

Setting this up is a bit of a process. I got this for myself and my not-so-tech-savvy older aunt. I was a little worried about her getting it set up, but we got her up and running with little trouble and we love this. We have very different schedules and sometimes go a long time between conversations. I wanted her to know that didn't mean i never thought of her, and she says it makes her smile when she wakes up in the morning and sees that i was thinking about her the night before. It's pretty cool that we can just tap a lamp or hit an app to send each other a little love any old time and not worry about waking the other one up or disrupting their day with anything but a smile. I'd thought the price was high, but the smiles make it well worth the price.

I got this for my son to share with his grandmother that lives in another state. They are very close and talk almost daily. This set of lamps has added so much excitement to his days. As soon as he wakes up or comes in from school he runs right to his room to check for a colored light message. It was very easy to setup and the app has been working well. His grandmother also had no issues with setting up. The lights are compact and look nice. These would be perfect for long distance families, relationships, and friendships. It gives an extra special feeling to know when someone is thinking of you!!

This is a set of two "friendship lamps". Assuming you're giving one as a gift, you'll want to set up both on your own wi-fi, which requires downloading the LuvLink app. (It must be done via mobile Bluetooth, not via a computer.) The app discovers the lamps, then you put in your wi-fi info, and it configures everything and assigns you a "group ID". Later, you give one of the lamps to your loved one and tell them they need to download the app and join your group (using the ID).

This is such a fun and heartfelt way to show a loved one or friend you're thinking of them. I sent this to my good friend of 15 years as a gift and they absolutely loved it. The set up is rather easy, Simply plug it in and follow the directions. Once your partner receives and sets up their light, you can send a group code to one another to connect the lights. Once connected you can customize colors, light patterns and timing functions on the light that can be sent to your friend or loved one's light at the touch of a button. I'm constantly tapping my light sending our secret light message while also enjoying the fun and festive custom light show I've created. It's even better seeing the light activate from your friend(s). Although this set was a bit pricey, it was totally worth it. Being able to let a dear friend know you're thinking of them in a such fun, meaningfully way is such a delight and I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to show a good friend or loved one their appreciation!

My wife and my daughter live in completely two different states so to keep them connected I got this for them for Mother’s Day. It was very easy to set up on the app and we use it every single day. There’s a variety of colors that you can choose from and you can even make a colors have different meanings. The quality and appearance of the lamp itself is very sleek and optimized and goes with pretty much any type of aesthetic in a home. I will say the only specialized part of these lamps is the connectivity of them, obviously. If they were just a normal lamp, they would not be worth that much. But as they are in their purpose, this is a wonderful product.

I got these friendship lamps for my daughter and her boyfriend, who currently lives about an hour and a half away. Luckily, the boyfriend was quickly able to figure out the instructions and get everything set up and the two of them have been sending messages to each other through out the day, sometimes when they are sitting right next to one another. The lights are connected vie an app on the phone and the home's wi-fi so each time a message is sent, the other gets the message on their phone. There are several lights that you can set up personalized messages as well as other features that make this set very used friendly. They have been enjoying the lamps greatly; the lights are simply a nice way of letting another person know that you are thinking about them, even when you don't have time to send a text or make a phone call.

These lamps are more than just sources of light, they are our emotions in a physical form. My partner of 5 years and I are currently navigating a long-distance relationship, which can often be emotionally challenging. One of my sons bought 3 of these for Christmas a few years ago. 1 for him, 1 for us and one for his brother. We all live hundreds of miles apart. It has been great fun to send each other color lights. My young granddaughters love it when MeeMaw sends her green light and Grampy sends red. They switch between pink and purple back to us. It's a wonderful I love you, I'm thinking of you and a goodnight kiss all in one beautiful color. We often play a game with them to see who can send it faster - switching quickly between our colors. We LUV luv links color lights!

I love these lamps! The colors are really popping, the design of the lamp is nice and simple. I love that you can adjust the brightness, dim time, the color code feature, etc, through the app.

I've thought about how to review this product for a while... It is massively overpriced and I feel like the concept is not carried out properly. You can only send colour codes via your phone and their incredibly crappy app. You can only see what the colour codes mean and who they're from by using the app, but only one person in your household can be connected to the lamp via the app at one time. So for example, my sister and I live together and share a lamp and my other sister lives far away and has her own lamp so whenever she sends something I have to look at my notifications on my phone or the colour code legend and share that with the sister I live with or she'd have no idea what was getting pressed. I like the novelty of simply tapping the lamp and it showing up on the other lamp, I like the design and quality of the lamp, but in no way is it worth $100. You have to do separate orders for each lamp if they're going to different addresses so you lose out on the multiple lamp discount. You'd think they'd figure that one out since the whole point of these lamps is people being in multiple different places. Anyways, technically yes it works, but not in the ways it's marketed or described and I wouldn't buy it again or recommend anyone else to either sorry :(.

This is the fourth light in our collection and we love them so much.

I got the lamp for Christmas from my best friend. I tried connecting the app with the lamp but when i tried to make an account my whole screen would just turn purple and would stay like that. So i kinda gave up. I tried connecting it to my moms phone and it worked properly. So i had to use my moms phone for luvlink for awhile (which she did not really like) and I got a new phone. So i’ve recently tried connecting it again (on my phone) and it worked! I’ve enjoyed the app so much ever since. The reason i gave it 4 stars was because of the connecting issues i had. (maybe it was my older phone…?) but yeah that’s about it! My friends and I have many color codes and is on luvlink 24/7. Its awesome!

For linking to just one friend is great. Setting up color codes and just pushing the top of my lamp to send a quick thinking about you is great. I bought another lamp for another friend that is not in my group with my first friend and switching bank and forth between groups is not easy. Had I known that before buying the 2nd lamp then I would not have bought it. Now I bought a 3rd lamp so I have one for one friend and one for another friend. Your tech department needs to figure out a way the one person only needs one lamp and be connected to different group IDs. Won't recommend to any more friends until you are able to connect to more than one group at the same time.

I got a set of these lamps for myself and mother. The first one she received did not respond to touch and had to be returned. The second one she received was also not responsive, and this one had to be returned too. Her third one worked for a couple of weeks until it gave her an electric shock when she touched it. It is now not responsive, so it has to be returned as well. This new one will be her fourth lamp in less than two months, and we cannot return them as we are outside the 30-day window. They are fun lamps, but I would not buy these from this brand again. The hassle of getting a product that simply works as described has not been worth it.

I bought this for my boyfriend and I to bring us closer and help us connect when we're busy, working opposite schedules, and can't get together or talk on the phone much. It worked even better than I imagined. It really has brought us closer. It's a lovely, heart warming surprise to be going about my day and get an unexpected message via a beautiful color or color pattern (or alert on my phone). Just knowing someone is thinking of you at that moment in time is a really powerful thing and it's so easy to tap a light box and make someone smile! I highly recommend. I am planning to get for family that live far away next. This is a brilliant idea.

I would have loved to attach a photo of my luvlamp in action but after only two months it stopped working. When I first received it as a birthday gift in August 2023 from my daughter it was really fun and a great gift. However, it quickly started malfunctioning I could receive but when I tapped my lamp nothing happened. I couldn’t respond nor could I start a “conversation”. Then it started coming on with random colors and staying on for hours. I have now unplugged it and sent an email to this company. I did that right after thanksgiving but have not received a response. It’s such a shame because we had so much fun in the beginning that we bought one for my other daughter and one for my granddaughter. As a result I would not recommend this product.

I got to set a two and gave one of them to my daughter. They are very easy to set up. They do plug in by USB, so if you don't have those built into your plugs, you'll need to get a brick. They connect easily to Wi-Fi and you can use them either by directly touching the lamp or by the app on your phone.
