Only lasted 3 years

The dimensions were exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately it only lasted 3 years, way under the 30000 hour rated lifespan. There is no way to get a replacement LED module for it when it dies. Contacted the manufacturer and they said they weren't willing to help in any way since it only has a 1 year warranty. Looked ok when it was working.

Two failed within weeks

First unit we installed began flickering within two weeks. Ordered a second one to replace the first one, hoping it was just a fluke, but the replacement unit only lasted about 4 weeks before it also started flickering. Not going to waste my time giving them a third chance.

Small & Sassy

This is a BEAUTIFUL light. She is well crafted, dainty, and quite small. Check the diameter before purchasing. High quality- expensive look and finish. I ended up returning her due to color. The gold is a very yellow gold. It was brighter and lighter than the other gold accents I have in my home so with the small size and the yellow gold it just wasn't a great fit for my entry. That being said, I truly did love the piece and it would definitely glam up a room.

Nice product but it did not fit our electrical box. We had to drill a hole so we could use it. That was suprising because I had purchased the 40W smaller lights for hallway and they worked fine but this model did not. Anyways, after altering, we were able to install the light and it looks good.

Bright and sleek

This fixture replaced the laundry room five bulbs incandescent light. We went from traditional look to a clean modern feel immediately. We didn't realize how poorly lit this area was until this little guy came along. Now we can see everything including all the spider webs that we missed before. It's bright but not harsh. It's perfect for the laundry area.

The George Kovacs 60-watt equivalent integrated LED flushmount is satin silver with a diffused white glass; the 17-watt light fixture produces a cool white light. The fixture can be either installed either with recessed lighting or with regular light installation; if regular light installation is desired, then the recessed light connector can be cut to expose regular wiring. I did find the mounting plate was larger than any of the existing junction boxes for light fixtures in the home; hence I had to screw the mounting plate into both the junction box hole and the actual ceiling because it was too large to screw into both junction holes..

I finally installed this light, and so far love it. It's a little heavier than most light fixtures I have used in the past, but it feels high quality and it works very well. The light it produces is great for the larger room that I have installed it in. The painted copper bronze patina finish on the fixture itself is nice and high quality. The fixture matches my oil rubbed bronze hardware well.

Excellent quality, user friendly installation, solid build. If you were looking to cover your recessed lights for a flushmount, this is the light for you! In the packaging you have the easy to use attachments to do this. The installation is very easy; no fumbling with center rods and height adjustments, just attach the base on the outlet, attach your wires to the plug and it just clips on to a perfect fit. I got it for indoor use, but it can be used outdoors as well. Light is soft white but it is bright enough for the size. Great product overall!

While have not installed the product yet, a review of the construction and framework confirms a sturdy and reasonably well designed light. The instructions are straight-forward, with ample safety notes regarding the electrical considerations. Without actually installing and applying power, I can not determine if the "light" output is sufficient, but in the implementation of an additional outside security light, I do believe it will be more than adequate.

Great LED ceiling light that is wet rated. I used it in a walk in closet where the builder dome light bothered me. The light it produces is a very warm color and offers very good clarity. It was actually surprising how clothes in the room seemed to pop just by replacing the light. The product itself is very well made. It uses a heavy glass face to diffuse the light. The install was straight forward and well documented. Check out the pictures as it Ian worth a thousand words.

This may be the easiest light fixture installation ever. You probably won’t need instructions, but they are included and are well written and illustrated. It comes with mounting hardware for both a recessed ceiling can or a standard light mounting box. In either situation, you first install the mounting bracket (2 screws), connect the hot, neutral and ground wires, then the spring clips on the fixture snap right in to the bracket and snug it up to the ceiling. That’s it – you’re done.

Just received my George Kovacs designed LED flushmount 75 watt equivalent in white. This 10 inch plain appearance light can be mounted one of two ways. Into an electrical box in which requires some wire cutting stripping and attachment to house power or it comes with a handy screw in wiring harness for recessed lighting receptacles. Comes with all the mounting hardware to accomplish either installation method. The surprising thing is when you turn it on the amazing amount of light it disbursed. The installation is easy either method. The element can be changed but not an easy or inexpensive proposition.

Nice Surprise

I'm not a huge On Line Shopper. Recently we moved from a home in New Jersey where almost all of our decor was traditional. After moving to Florida we decided we wanted to decorate with sleek modern design. A friend told us about Lumens, but not until we had made the mistake of spending the same exact amount of money for fixtures that came from another on line distributor made of plastic. The globe was plastic and so was the metal. They had to be returned and we were out $27.00. Since we are beyond the quality of materials that the Home Improvment chains, we continued with our hunt for a nice quality product. Lumens has that, globes are glass and hardwear that is made of is metal. We definitely got the sleek modern classic look in our fixtures that we were after. *Silver finish - Hard wire or retro-fit recessed light cover* The light output is a fairly white light and very well distributed. The manufacturing is great quality, as I found out when I dropped it from the ceiling into my wet sink during an installation attempt. It's very solid and a good thing that it's rated for use in wet areas - lol. The design is simplistic and the silver finish is a flat silver paint with no gloss. I've been having trouble finding a retro-fit LED for a recessed light in my kitchen and, though this is made to retro-fit over/cover some specific cans, unfortunately this wasn't a fit for mine. A section on the instructions says "The recessed cans model no. are Halo brand: H750RICAT, H7RICAT, H7ICT, H7RICT AND H7ICAT. And Commercial Electric brand: CAT71CATA". There are tabs in the cans that this unit should affix to but my can has no tabs. Though I couldn't use it for the retro fit, I used it briefly in the main area of my kitchen while waiting on other lighting. It was bright enough, but was too small (and dull looking) for the ceiling space. Luckily, I had another spot for it in a walk-in closet with a horizontal ceiling. It's low profile is perfect and the finish isn't an issue in there. I had considered painting the casing to use it elsewhere, but taping off the sealed diffuser would be difficult. The installation instructions cover both retro (screw-in adapter) and hard-wire installations and include helpful diagrams. It comes specifically wired for retro installs, so for hard-wire installations you will have to cut the link for the screw-in adapter off of the fixture wires. Installation for hard-wiring was fairly easy, and seems easy for retros as well if your old unit is on the list above. The unit is dimmable with ELV and C-L dimmer switches.

This light is plenty bright. It replaced a fixture in my laundry room rated for a lower wattage. The instructions were slightly confusing as it only mentioned using this to modify a can light. At first I thought it could not be mounted to a standard box and was only for use with a can light. But the inclusion of a mounting plate for a standard box lead me to believe it could replace a regular ceiling mounted fixture. It installed, lit up nicely and I hope it continues to brightly light my laundry room, the cabinets and closet therein for many years. It is of a sleek, modern minimalist design.

I got this light for use in the lobby of our home. It is a good light. I need this on all the time, so I'll see how long it lasts. The manufacturer says that the LED can be replaced by an electrician. However, it would be much cheaper to just get another light if the LED is not user replaceable. Note that this is a "very" flush mount fixture. Therefore, the electrical box must be flush with the ceiling. If it is not, you will probably need to use longer screws and washers or something so the mounting plate hangs down flush with the ceiling. Otherwise, it will be difficult to snap the fixture on to the mounting plate. It comes with mounting plates for regular ceiling boxes as well as for recessed cans. All in all, this is a nice, neat, yellow light.
