Just renovated kitchen and replaced a 20 year old round 13-gallon Simplehuman trash can with this Kohler 13-gallon trash can due to space reasons. It fits perfect in a smaller space and uses standard trash bags. My only concern is that the interior ring that holds the bag in place is made of plastic and not as study as I hoped it would be.

This trash can looks nice and I like the soft close feature. We had to get a step can because my dogs and toddler can open the motion activated ones. It is quite large, so make sure it will fit your space. I like that the part that holds the bag has air holes so it's easy to lift bags out.

Arrived dented…twice

I can’t speak to how the can works because I’ve had to return it once, and now a second time. First one I ordered had a big horizontal dent along the side, which was weird because the shipping box looks fine. I returned the original one and reordered a new one. I arrived today and I just took it out of the box, and this one also has a big dent across the side. For a $140 trash can, I expect it to at least arrive new and dent-free. Sadly, this one will go back too, and I won’t be reordering.

I bought this bin about 1 year ago. For $150+ at the time, I would expect it to last for years and years. Unfortunately it's made with the same low end quality as you might expect from other brands.

This trash can has held up great! We have had it a couple of years.

Have had this for about a month now and has been used heavily with 2-3 bags of trash a day with my large family. I researched for a good week every day looking at styles and comparing brands and then comparing prices and similar styles etc. I almost missed this one and was happy to find to find it since a lot of my hardware in the house are by this brand giving a true seamless look. The quality is fantastic and I’ve got zero complaints after a month of use. It’s very much a true fingerprint less style and the few times it’s looked like a blemish or print it’s quickly and easily wiped out looking brand new again. If you’re doing something that has you wanting an open top instead of a pedal it’s super easy to flip the top up into the lock/hold position to keep it open as well as when you change bags and just as easy to flip it back down. It’s sturdy, and so nice looking most everyone hasn’t recognized it to be a garbage can! Would buy this again over any other style & it fits generic bags so there’s zero need to purchase specific speciality brand bags that cost more!
