I am extremely pleased with this patio heater. Assembly was a breeze and quick, though my 8-year-old assistant might be responsible for that.
My wife and I recently got this to gift to her father for a new patio area they just finished. It's great. We like to relax outside in the evening and with the chill in the air, this heater makes the space nice and comfortable. Starts up easily and haven't had any issues so far.
This is a very nice quality outdoor patio heater. It's the kind you find eating outdoors at restaurants. It was pretty easy to assemble, but took me about an hour to complete. Once you install the propane tank, you are ready to get warm quick! Just turn the knob to your preferred great setting and ignite the flame. This thing really pumps out the heat. Great product!
This is probably my favorite order this year. I love the tip safety feature that gives me peace of mind with the kids and the flat top with drain for drinks. We've only got to try it a couple times during the last cold snap, but I am SO excited for our first big bonfire where I can comfortably avoid the inevitable smoke near the fire and still stay cozy next to this.
This heater comes in a box about 18" square, and 3 feet high. You have to assemble it from about 20 constituent parts, but it's really easy. It took me about 1 hour in all, and I was taking it slow. All the needed fasteners and tools are included, except for a phillips screwdriver (which you only need for one set of screws.) The manual says it's better if 2 people assemble it, and if so, you could probably cut that assembly to 30 or 45 minutes.
This propane heater not only looks great but also delivers exceptional performance, making it a must-have for any patio.
This heats up the entire patio space and I am in love with it. It took maybe 45 minutes to put together by myself and to wheel outside.
Very pleased with this East Oak patio heater! It was packaged well, includes a manual and all the hardware you need. (Excellent hardware, better than I expected and better than I've received with other items needing assembly.) There's a little wiggle room in putting it together, not too much and not too little, just right; so that was good. The inside of the tank housing had some residue, it was kind of dirty and sticky but not a real issue. It holds the typical 5 gallon propane tank and the easy access to the valve is nice (see photo). Fairly heavy brushed stainless steel, quality construction. I like that it's square rather than round, and I feel safer with a double layer mesh. The instructions were very clear and assembly was straight forward, although the QR installation code in the manual seems wrong: it went to a promotional video instead of an installation video. (I don't like having to rely on QR codes anyway, so I'm glad an actual manual was included.) We've rented heaters in the past and it's such a hassle with the pick-up and return; now all I have to do is pick up a tank at the hardware store (so convenient) and we're good to go.
This seems to be about what I would expect in terms of the construction, materials, etc. It's confusing to me that it comes with wheels but you are instructed to permanently attach it to your flooring or to purchase a kiddie pool and put it in there to stabilize it. I thought this would work on my concrete patio but I won't be able to physically attach it, and I wouldn't necessarily be willing to drill holes in a deck or other flooring either. This could be more about me not being a good match for this type of heater though. I think if you are comfortable with how it works and you have a way to ensure stability, it might be a better option for you.
We love this EAST OAK 50,000 BTU Patio Heater. It was easy to put together, took me by myself about 45 minutes. You may need a ladder or higher positioning to get the hood on top in place and it will cost extra for a propane tank for this unit. Otherwise, this heater is wonderful for the cool weather patio ambiance and we've even had friends take theirs for tailgating. It kicks off a nice account of heat and everything is clearly labeled. It does have wheels to be able to roll it to other areas but I recommend taking the propane tank out to make it lighter to do so. So far it's held up well with the weather and no rust. I do worry about the thin metal around the tank scratching/denting over time but so far so good and you can anchor the heater down to a porch for more secure positioning. Very happy with this, would buy again.
Very good quality. Easy to set up. Adjustable Heat settings. sturdy.
This heater is designed for outdoor use. It's made with high-quality materials that are both lightweight and durable. The heater is also equipped with safety features, including an automatic shut-off if it's tipped over. It provides ample heat coverage and is easy to use.
I like the stainless steel look and it gives out plenty of heat. It said that it takes 2 people 30 min to assemble. It can be done with one person and took me about one hour to assemble. Instructions were very easy to follow which was nice. Once assembled the igniter worked quickly and efficiently. It recommends anchoring the heater base to the floor which makes it problematic to be moved around and I probably wont take that last step. May only complaint is that instead of having a door at the base for placing the propane tank inside the heater the base lifts up and rests on a support ledge. This may be simpler to do but could lead to an injury if you are not careful. Overall I am very pleased with the heater.
This was very easy to assemble and is easy to move around 'IF' you invest in aftermarket attachable wheels. I cannot yet comment on it's heating capability as instead of chilly nights during Oct here in So Cal, the weather decided to be in the upper 90's to lower 100's and the evenings in the 80's, so that review will need to come in a month or 2.
I actually picked up two of these patio heaters - different designs, and did a side-by-side comparison. Take a look at my video review and see which one will work best for you.
Early winter evening on the back porch just got so much more enjoyable when you want to enjoy that crisp cool air but also have the subtle feel of the war air at the same time this was super easy to assemble in just a few minutes and had it ready to go cant wait for the cooler nights to set in
It really wasn't too bad to put together, when i first opened the box it seemed like it would be a chore, but it turned out to be pretty quick. It puts out a good amount of heat in a comfortable way which spreads out pretty far. Pretty much works as expected, just like the ones I've run into at restaurants and the like.
I liked that it was very easy to assemble. You have to watch the nuts (wing nuts) that clamp the stainless steel dome on as these can rust. My advice is if you leaves these out--knowing that even in a covered patio, the moisture can cause rust, is to spray some car wax and WD-40 on all the nuts/screws and along the bottom ring/base. I also liked how easy it was to start this unit.
Good quality for the money and it looks good too. Works like it should.
This Patio Heater by East Oak will be well used as we head into fall weather. The large package arrived with all items very well packed (good cushioning) and all parts were in perfect condition. The instruction manual was quite easy to follow and two people were able to put the heater together in about an hour. It was helpful to have all the small pieces in a well labeled and sealed packet (and they included a spare of screws/bolts, etc which was great as one rolled under a heavy bench when assembling). Picked up a new propane tank to test it out. Amazing, adjustable heat for our backyard patio. We will be working on getting some type of anchor weight so it can stay outside without worry of tipping over. Recommend.
