Heater came well boxed and assembly was very straight forward. Would have taken less than 15 min if you didn’t have to struggle with the protective film all over the stainless steel. Removing the film took about 30 min of trying to find the “correct” way to get it to come off easily.

Poorly designed and built. Metal too thin and the base is not solid as it should be. Anchors were provided, but that limits where the heater can be placed. The main tube is also too thin and does nor stand straight. I do not recommend this patio heater.

[Rewarded Review] Attractive with minor quality issues

Easy to put together but better if you have two people. The heating unit and pole seem very solidly made but then your putting this very solid sturdy stuff right on top of three somewhat cheap and flimsy bars - it's just very odd engineering. Somehow it works, but who knows for how long. It nicely fits a standard 20lb propane tank and has a little webbing belt to stabilize it. Once together, through no fault of our assembly capabilities, the top sits rather crooked, like something wasn't cut or soldered perfectly straight. We live in an area that gets frequent high winds and we can't fathom how the tiny anchors they provided are going to do anyone any good, even not in high winds. I expect when we settle on the right place to put it on our deck we'll end up bolting it down for safety. As far as heating capabilities we have a very large deck and didn't expect one of these to cover the whole area with heat. But what we also didn't expect is that you have to be pretty close to the thing to really feel it working. Beyond about a 5-6 foot radius, the heat level significantly dropped off on a 49 degree day. Since you're generally supposed to keep these heaters 2-3 feet away from other objects, that's a pretty limited area of effectiveness. Maybe it's not meant for use in weather quite that cold. Overall it's not bad- it is attractive and functional, with wildly mixed levels of quality, and limited effectiveness in chillier temps.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect for outdoor ANYTHING

1st I must say, some assembly required. I took pictures of the assembly due to everyone knows what it looks like after.

[Rewarded Review] Really produces heat well. Simple operation.

Makes great amount of heat in the backyard (when no wind). Assembly was pretty simple and took about 45 minutes, with the removal of the protective coating requiring the most time and effort. Unless you are anchoring this to the deck, do bother with the anchoring arms (instruction should mention the option before telling you to mount them). Included tank strap doesn't have much to keep it in place and slide down if ever a little loose. The gas hose needs to make a very tight turn to get it to fit under the cover (a 90-degree elbow would have been good), but attaches easily. Started up on first spark every time. Flame makes the outer heat screen glow red hot in mere moments on high setting. And flame causes the screen to heat a little unevenly. This makes me be concerned for long-term durability if the screen meeting over time. If the screen holds up, this seems like a great space-heater for those chilly nights.

[Rewarded Review] Puts out the heat!!

We had just finished putting up our new gazebo when our floor heater arrived!! It didn’t take my husband long to put together and set it up on the deck. We haven’t finished putting picnic table and chairs out yet but this will be a welcome addition on our deck!!

[Rewarded Review] Quite the...

...patio heater. This is a tall appliance. Measuring about 88 inches tall. Since it requires a minimum of 24 inches clearance over the top, and 36 inches to the sides, placement is important. The patio heater works fantastic. It puts out a lot of heat and could cause problems if placement is not well thought out. It is well made and appears very sturdy. It's nice to BBQ in the evening and not be cold as you tend to your grill. The stainless steel surfaces are a plus. I wish they would have had stainless fasteners. If you are not going to fasten the heater to a deck surface then you should skip the instructions regarding mounting the deck brace/fasteners (should have been listed as optional in the instructions). Over all a great appliance. I would recommend the manufacturer change the gas regulator from a straight connection to one with a 90 degree elbow. When connecting the gas you have to bend the rubber gas hose 90 degrees to get the cover to slide down over the propane tank. The heater is a worthwhile endeavor. I like it.

poor design and construction materials

We bought one of ruese when we moved into our new home in January 2021. Used it for 2 months until the metal mesh shroud around the heating element bubbled and collapsed, causing the large round reflector top to dip and begin to collapse. Returned it to Lowes and received a new heater, same type and brand. Sat over the summer and started using it again this winter. Now after 2 months of use its doing the same thing as the first one did! Poor choice in material for the mesh shroud which is prone to warping and collapse under the weight of the reflector because itnis unsupported by any structure other than the thin mesh cylinder itself.

Good product

This product took about 1.5 hrs to assemble. There is a really good youtube video of the assembly which I watched while asembling the unit. It is MUCH better than the instructions supplied. The unit has been in operation on our deck for three weeks and it does the job on cold nights when we have dinner outside. I recommend this product.

[Rewarded Review] Nice addition to a patio

This patio heater is a nice addition to any outdoor seating area. I like that it is made from stainless steel as not to rust from being outside in the elements. I am going to look for a cover for the top it would have been nice if it came with one for that specific heater. I like that it is very tall so that you are not that close to the burner. It is very attractive looking for on any patio or porch. I also like the fact that it is lightweight and easy to move with the wheels that are on the bottom. It does throw quite a bit of heat out I could feel it standing at least 6 to 7 feet away from the unit although it hasn't been very cold out yet to put it to its real test The directions are fairly easy as to putting it together it says it only takes a half hour but my husband is very handy and it took him over an hour . I didn't see anywhere in the directions information saying to take the blue plastic off of everything before you put it together but we did and then I found on the very last piece a little sticker that says to remove the plastic .

[Rewarded Review] Wow!

This heater is everything you could possible want and more. I have always wanted one of these so that cool and even cold fall nights on the patio would be possible. All I can say, is they definitely will be now. It is summer right now and a heat wave but I tried it out last night because it was a bit cooler at 65 degrees. We turned it on and instantly, you could feel the heat. It is on wheels to easily move it and comes with anchors to prevent tipping. This heater is easy to assemble but I will say this, you may want someone else to help when doing the screws on the top. Those metal pieces can be tricky. The directions do not tell you to watch how you put them together. They actually fit UNDER each other so I wasted some time trying to get them to fit over until I figured it out. This heater hooks up easily and turns on easily and throws out some serious heat. I am impressed and can hardly wait until fall to use it on a brisk night. I recommend this heater to anyone that enjoys the outdoors and wants to extend being out there even in the cooler seasons.

[Rewarded Review] Fun for Summer!

I had no idea that Walmart had patio heaters like this, although I guess I shouldn't be surprised. This is so much fun for summer! I love being able to be outside - especially while entertaining guests – – and having this heater going on the patio. I'm one of those people that's always cold and this is so nice to have. I feel like this is something that I will leave out even during the fall for a while before putting it away for the winter just because it makes it feel so cozy. Would definitely recommend.

[Rewarded Review] A real cooker!

I was given this to review and I wish I could tell you what a great heater it is (it is!) except that it is currently mid July and 94 degrees on my back deck. Just getting close to this thing makes me feel like a rotisserie chicken.
