Never again - faulty unit and terribly company to deal with

Lights went out one by one over a period of a few weeks only two months after we bought the hood fan but worse than that, communication was awful with the Canadian Broan employees in Ontario. Took days to respond to each email, sent package to wrong address, waited for an hour to get through on the phone, left a message for a Supervisor to call and they never did, then after much time and frustration they offered to replace whole unit but we would have to pay for trades people to take out and install a new one (a $500 bill on our end). Terrible company. Would never buy a Broan again. Seven weeks later we still have not received the four bulbs and glass cover that broke spontaneously.

No trim kit for this unit

As much as I love this unit, I am unhappy that there is no trim kit available for the ceiling. The four corners have a radius edge. You can’t easily install trim. Hoped BROAN offered a kit and they do not. NOT HAPPY

motor noise on lowest level

Well designed and well built. Looks nice installed. Only problem is a motor noise on the lowest fan level. Phoned Broan and they were aware of it and said it was normal. Would be nice not to have that motor noise as well as the exhaust noise. Medium and high are just exhaust noise.

Great product

Our new fan is a very attractive addition to our kitchen. It is quiet and efficient.

Highlight of Kitchen Remodel

We were on a tight budget for our kitchen remodel but I knew that one of the first things that would be seen, walking into the kitchen, would be the vent. So this was the most expensive appliance I bought for the kitchen.

Great hood for the money

The hood does a great job of removing smoke and odors. It looks very nice and is relatively easy to clean. I only have two gripes 1) the controls are hard to find without craning your head under the hood to find them 2) the knobs wear out and break relatively easily. I've had this for three years and have had to replace both knobs every year.

looks great

It took 2 pro guys several hours to install. But it looks great and seems to suck up well. The full venting is not even done, so I am not sure how it works in the end. The lights are bright.

The Broan was an excellent choice

We went with this product because it looks good,has a powerful fan and sleek lighting.

Our kitchen has only been finished for a day, so I haven't had much chance to use the hood. It looks very nice though.
