Movie the extra water pressure from “power” button
Chose this model with a new construction home. Has been 1 week so far and love it. Strong water pressure especially with the power boost button and smooth when pulling the handle out or letting it go back in.
Quality and good customer service
I own the older version of Morten Arbor motionsense faucet. I like the design of the Moen faucet and the satin finish provides easy care . I removed and installed the faucet in less than an hour , but there was a problem with its operation so I called Moen Assistance and was greeted very amicably by a representative of Moen . I told of my problem the representative surmised the situation and direct shipped to me the solution with two day delivery . Based upon my previous 6 year happy experience with Moen Arbor faucet , I chose to replace my faucet with the newer version of Moen Arbor motionsense , and I expect the quality t be the same . Was I pleased with my Moen Arbor faucet ? My answer is above .
6 months and Motion Sensor Goes Crazy
We bought this faucet about 6 months ago as I have arthritis and we needed a new faucet. The cost and installation was $700. At first, we loved it. Now, the motion sensor at the bottom blinks and will not turn the water on after you use it sporadically (but often). That is more than disappointing for the cost and the amount of use it has gotten. It's only had regular use by 2 older people.
5 years and doesn't work
Bought this in 2018. Now the water goes on by itself and doesn't stop. Unplugged AC, unplugged battery pack, changed batteries. No change even after several unplugs and plugins. Waited as well for it to "reset." Water stays on unless handle in the hot/on position, then it goes off. Can't find the receipt. Afraid if this would have happened while on vacay, would have been a water bill like I have never imagined.
Was very pleased with the quality of this Moen bar faucet. Nice and heavy with a pretty bronze finish. Love the dual faucet head, allowing for sprayer or full stream. Head angle keeps the water in the circular sink, instead of an angled head that allows for splash up on the counters. The reason I gave it one less star is the handle design. Because you turn the water on on one side of the faucet, overtime the fixture becomes loose in the counter and twists. Some of this is no doubt related to installation issues but, while the design is neat and tidy, it’s definitely a flaw in my opinion.
Unexpected disappointment
I installed my faucet a weekago today. Our contractor recommended it based on the quaity of Moen products. I'm not so sure. First it starting dripping after 3 or 4 days. The sprayer controls sometimes get stuck. The faucet controls are out of sync, I'd expect the handle to have a hot water range of motion the same as the cold, nope. The hot water range is about 40 degrees the cold about 130. I think these are all examples of poor quality not high quality
Quality is sub par
Bought this faucet for our remodel in January 2018, installed end of February 2018. Within 4 years we started noticing that when switching between the two spray functions that it would get stuck and either no water would come out on the regular stream or it would come out very little. We'd have to shut the faucet off for a minute then when turning water back on it would work. The handle also became extremely loose. We took everything apart, cleaned and soaked in CLR multiple times and it made no changes. The handle also would be "tightened" for maybe a day then go back to being loose. Then, at about 5 years of regular use, but not heavy use (only 2 of us in the home) we started to notice that in the main portion of the faucet, at the seam we were seeing a gold color. The top portion of the faucet was starting to separate. It has now completely broken off and does not just screw back in.
Decent faucet, handle poorly made
I liked this faucet for the motion sense features but the spot resistant claim is lacking and water pressure is poor. I wish it had the extra spray boost for more power cleaning dishes and sink.
I hate this faucet!
I thought I was going to love this faucet. I liked that I could turn it on quickly in the front and longer on the top. If it just worked that way. The water only pulses lower on the sensor on the front, it never stays on long enough to rinse your hands or a dish. At first I thought it was because I use glass bowls, that it couldn't "see" them, but it doesn't "see" white plates or a cooking pot or my hands either. I thought maybe I had to figure out where to hold items to get them rinsed. No where is consistent. I'm always getting my sleeves soaked by it turning on when not thinking I'm even near it. I can't dry out my sink, it turns on. Even if I have it turned to the other sink bowl. It turns on more when I have my hands in the bottom of the sink washing dishes than when I hold them up closer to rinse them. I'm always having to us the top sensor to get enough water to get anything rinsed. I'm ruining my woodwork behind my sink using the top sensor all the time. My husband tried to turn the sensors off so I could just use as an ordinary faucet---It DOESN'T WORK AT ALL with the sensors turned off. How long do I have to return this faucet? It was very expensive to only cause frustration. It was ordered months before it was installed as we were remodeling and the counter people wanted the faucet model long before the project was even started. Save your Money!
Cannot even use manually after 1 year
The faucet stopped working after about a year. Not just the Motionsense touchless sensor function. Cannot even turn on the water manually with the lever. Replaced batteries, unplugged and replugged data and power cables, reset, restarted setup process. Nothing worked. Moen customer service is also not available on weekends so I essentially have a non working kitchen sink for at least 3 days before I can get anyone to troubleshoot. Piece of junk. Save your money and get a regular kitchen faucet.
Functional and smart
This faucet is a huge improvement over our previous touchless faucet (Delta) that had a sensor in the front. Needless to say, it was easily triggered. The side sensor is smart. I also like the finish which doesn't show fingerprints or spots. It took us a while to get used to putting the handle down for cold water since it was opposite on our previous faucet. The one thing I would change is to have the spray be more directed and not have as wide of a spray. That's just a small detail. Overall, we would recommend this faucet.
Water Pulses on and off.
I love this faucet, I think it will eliminate all of the leaky seal and leaky valve problems you have with regular faucets. All of the flow adjustments happen in the control box under the sink. I believe it will keep the hard water deposits from building up and make cleaning much easier.
Cartridge assembly doesn't stay, handle clunks
There is a brass ring in the body of the faucet that holds the cartridge assembly tight. It regularly loosens up and the handle feels loose and clunks around. This is fixed by removing the handle and dome ring, then inserting a narrow tool of your choice and rotating the outermost brass ring clockwise. The reviews and questions on this page have many people reporting the same problem. Moen always responds that the handle set screw needs to be tightened or that there is no serviceable part to tighten up inside the body of the faucet. I've have this faucet for a year now and have to tighten the brass ring every month or so. It's an annoying design flaw. I selected this faucet from the front of the pluming supply store (fancy, higher end fixtures) instead of a cheaper one from the back of the store hoping that I would be able to avoid these types of problems
The faucet is definately a good faucet. The installation is fairly easy and you barely need any tools for it. This is a replacement for me of the same previous version from like 10 years ago. The previous version was much better built and had more features. The older version was sturdier or heavier in material. This feels a bit more flimsy. The old version had the capability of setting a tempertaure for the motion sense. the new one does not. Temperature for motion sense is set by the handle, defeating the point of the motion sense. I like to just wave over the faucet and warm water comes on. For the newer version you have to set it to warm and then wave...dumb. My last gripe is that it is the same price I paid 10 years ago with less features, so I was not happy about that.
Faucet was easy to install. Make sure to keep...
Faucet was easy to install. Make sure to keep the special tool Moen gives you to tighten the faucet. You will need this should it ever become loose. Also a word of warning regarding the control box. This must always be kept in the upright position. Either mount to the the central piece as indicated on the instructions or directly to the wall (you will need a special kit for that). Should this be installed incorrectly, it can fall down and the water will eventually get into the electronics making the unit fail. You can only purchase a new one after that! Lesson learned!
Awesome faucet
I spent a long time researching faucets before I bought this one. I never owned a faucet that is touchless before and I have to say I LOVE this feature. Its very handy when working with dirty hands, raw meat, etc. I also wanted to comment on installation. I have never installed anything myself before (and have never attempted any plumbing) and decided to give this a try. While it took a while to get my old faucet out (due to difficulty unscrewing some old bolts) the actual install of the new Moen faucet was easy! I probably spent 2 or 3 hours trying to remove the old faucet, but maybe 15 minutes to install the new one. I'm actually glad I did it and would do it again in the future. BTW, I like this generation of the current Moen faucet (generation 2) better than the features on the previous generation. On this faucet the sensor is on the SIDE which is better than in the front. The prior generation had it on the front and top. The problem with having it on the front is that I would think it would go off accidentally all the time. And I see no reason to have a sensor on the top of the faucet. So I really love the one that I got. Love, love, love...
Wonderful Faucet
I am so pleased with this faucet. I've owned it about 6 months and it has worked flawlessly. The auto sense feature is excellent and much more useful than I had first imagined. I love that the extendable faucet action is extremely smooth and that it retracts and firmly connects to the faucet stem with a firm click. I am usually very particular about products and was going to buy a more expensive model which was out of stock last June. I thought I was "settling" for this model but have been extremely pleased all the way around. It is replacing a much more expensive Grohe faucet and I feel it is an upgrade. My highest recommendation.
Thank goodness for their warranty
We have had this faucet now for about 6-7 years. We had it installed in our kitchen reno. We have had repeated varying issues. It began with the hose retraction, they sent a sleeve to install under the sink, and the problem was fixed. the matching soap pump stopped working, they sent a replacement pump, and the problem was fixed. The handle began loosening, my husband tightened it, and this helped for a while. The faucet hose edge finish began wearing off/chipping, they sent a replacement, and the problem was fixed. In addition to the handle coming loose, the base on the counter came loose, my husband tightened down both, and this helped for a while. Shortly thereafter the handle is coming loose again. Now the soap dispenser edge is now wearing/chipping similarly to the faucet. The saving grace of this expensive faucet is that Moen stands behind its product and has replaced each issue without question. Now that there are so many issues we may have to consider completely replacing the faucet. Not sure I would choose Moen again if it weren't for their lifetime warranty.
Not as expected
I bought this 8/5/22 based on the excellent rating. However, it is much less than excellent. The upper neck is a bit wobbly. Am worried it will loosen further over time. This part is also slightly different in shade than the base. Although this is not a big deal I am sharing this for prospective buyers. The most annoying issue is that the hot water is not as hot as before! Prior to this Moen, I had a Grohe faucet and the hot water was very hot! This faucet was installed by a licensed plumber. He came out a second time when I complained about the hot water not being very hot. Upon reviewing his installation, he claims it's the faucet mixing cartridge, not the installation. He said he cannot make any adjustments to make the water any hotter. And finally, when I pull out the faucet to spray, there's not the instant water stop feature as advertised in the Moen video ad. So either the video ad is misleading or there's a problem with this faucet. Sigh. Even if I go back to Home Depot and exchange this faulty unit, I would have to pay the plumber again to have it installed. Not surer what my option is at this point.
