Best kettle

I’ve had this kettle for years. A friend gave it to me second hand. It never missed a beat and finally stopped working I have no idea how old it was but I had to be more than 16 years. So when I needed another I went for the same one. Myer had a brilliant special on at the time. The kettle is attractive In The kitchen. No plastic which I love an over all a very good product. Considering its life span this kettle is also very good value. I highly recommend this product.

A work horse kettle

This kettle works well and is not as noisy as other stainless steel kettles I have known. I bought the same model in 2013 and it's still going strong. No complaints.

Major Issues

This is our third Soft Top® Pure kettle within only 4 years and the same issues keep happening. Ready to change brands now. Firstly, the plastic centre part of the lid cracks which poses a safety risk and secondly, the lid is extremely temperamental and the push button to open it jams, therefore preventing the lid from staying closed. Not happy at all given this kettle is over $100. Not a once off problem either as this is our third kettle where the same issues have happened again.

Love Breville!

I had to order this since my local WS only stocked the more complicated model. This is not my first Breville product and it won't be the last. I have been completely satisfied with the company's designs - aesthetically and functionally, as well as durability.

Great kettle

So far, all good! Very pleased with this Breville electric jug. Boils much quicker than previous jug, and good feature being able to see water level without lifting lid.

So happy with my purchase

I brought this kettle to replace my previous soft top Breville kettle which I had for 18 years. It’s just as quick and quiet as my previous one. I’m very happy with my new kettle and would recommend it.

Great quality and looking kettle

Use every day, works great and love the clear glass top and easy to know how much water you have filled. Plus heats boiling water faster than my older model.

I bought this kettle twice because I found it a good product.

It looks sophisticated.

This product has worked well so far and i haven't had any problems with it so far. I purchased this product because the kettle which was the same model I had previously lasted for years but had the part that secured the on off button had partially crumbled off and the filter handle broke off when I took it out to get the last of the water out before I put it out in my garage for disposal. Also the water level indicator print came off when my mother last cleaned it one day a few years ago. I wanted to purchase this same model because it lasted for a fair few years and it looks great.

Perfect except lid cracks outside warranty period

Kettle works well but we've had two and they both suffered from cracked lids. I've reported this but Breville has made no commitment to change the design. Fortunately for Breville, the lid doesn't crack within the warranty period . . .

Works fine, illumination is not good

This is a replacement for an older Cuisinart. My primary complaint is that the water level is not illuminated and is difficult to determine how much water has been added.

Breville Soft Top Pure Kettle

The kettle I have just bought is a replacement and identical to the first Breville kettle I bought at least ten years ago and we have used a minimum of eight times every day. The original kettle is still working well - the only thing that shows it's age is the soft top which is a little bit discoloured. I have actually given it to a friend who will most likely get plenty of use out of it. This is an excellent kettle, good design and works extremely well.

Recommend this kettle

This kettle works well, it is made strong to last, the bell on completion of the boil might be a feature for some disabilities. It looks good with my Breville Smart Grinder Pro. Value for money.

Love it!

We absolutely love this kettle, we needed a new one and just bought online without seeing it in person and are not disappointed. It is slim and compact and easy to use. It even makes the cutest “ting” noise when it stops boiling.

Some concerns

This is my second attempt . I have had this kettle for 2 years to the month, and the boil shut off feature is unreliable. It will take several minutes of rapid boiling to shut off - we usually do it first as we obviously want to use it.

For me the best kettle.

First I bought this model when turn on lighting in side and seeing water clearly , it was 2008 I used 10 year without any problem and gave to my son they still use it. 2017 I bought new one there was no light in side when you turn on was nt happy about it but still I am using there is no problem. Yesterday my second son asked me to have it I gave him. Today I went to store to buying as same as style but it was out of stock. I strated to read review and shock every commend and pictures. Each time quality going down I know but not I am not sure I have to buy as sam style or not. It is my favorite kettle.

Function & Style

This is the 4th time I have purchased this kettle, that includes buying this same one for our Beach House. The only reason we have replaced them is the clear perspex at the top discolours but otherwise no issues with the functioning of this product.
