Heavy Grill Pan

This grill pan is much heavier than we expected, making it difficult to use. We will probably return it.

By far the worst pan I ever purchased.

I followed the minimal instruction and care book; I bought the press as well; I grilled burgers and vegetables and everything tasted awful; it was hard to get the vegetables to cook evenly with the ridges on the bottom of the pan; everything stuck to pan making cleaning very hard; I was so disappointed with everything I threw it all in the trash can; what a waste.

What a Great Grilling Pan

This is an excellent grilling pan and is my goto cooking method when I can't grill outside on my Big Green Egg. It's very heavy to handle with one hand even for a larger man like me. I do wish the grill lines were rotated 90 degrees from where they are in relation to the handle because it's difficult to scoop juices and melted butter on to meat as it cooks. I would also like to see a glass lid as an option

Great cooking experience: perfect size & shape

It took me a while to finally purchase this Grill Pan, but I'm happy I did. The square shape gives you more room to cook things that would normally be harder in a circle.

Love this griddle pan!!!

The 10” is the perfect size for us. I just grilled salmon cakes and they cooked perfectly, looked like they had been cooked on the grill, and tasted great. My only concern is how to clean the ribs. Any suggestions?

Beautiful Grill Pan. Purchased from William Sonoma. Pros You get the nice sear marks and it's easy to clean. I also purchased the proper utensils for this pan. Cons It's heavy. You can't use any metal spatulas or you will scratch the inside cast iron.

How do people like this pan?

I think I got a reject. My pan has a noticeable notch in the enamel. Everything sticks to it regardless of seasoning, cooking oil, spray, anything. The ridges are impossible to clean. I cooked some marinated steak on it and there is now permanent chunks of blackened whatever in the ridges that all the scrubbing in the world will not remove.

Bad Quality Control

We waited for the square grill pan for 3 weeks and the product was broken.

Color not as shown -La-Mer

I have purchased 8 pieces of staub cast iron cookware and have always been pleased. I ordered this piece for my daughter in law to match two other pieces I have bought - it was on their winter sale after Christmas and although a very good price did not say it had visual imperfections. It arrived yesterday and didn’t have the beautiful colour I expected - it is mostly black with just a touch of La-mer on handle and bottom edge - very disappointing when you are matching pieces. Because of return policy I will keep it but will be very wary of future purchases.

Exactly what we wanted!

Absolutely love this new addition to our kitchen! We’ve so far been cooking everything we can on it! Perfect grill marks, great flavor - it’s exactly how we hoped it would be!

This grill pan and press work to grill the perfect steak. The grease is contained within the pan and press too. Adding water and kosher salt, cook on minimal low heat to loosen the hard to clean areas. The salt mixture really works without scrubbing. We really like this and ever Staub pan we own!

Good grill pan

Have used it and it’s very good and easy to clean at this stage. Corners chipped a bit but not sure if it’s quality or not, but it doesn’t affect the usage.
