The locking mechanism on one of the arms was misaligned- even after trying to tighten the bolt it was impossible to adjust- thus becoming a safety issue. We returned the chair to the store and decided to go with a different product

Very small. If I was not an obese (250lbs) patient I could have gotten a good usage out of this device. The commode is good for a person under 175lbs with a height @5'2 and under. It is a nice bedside commode at any rate and thats why I give it a 5 star rating.

I use this as a shower chair and a potty chair also. I had one many yrs ago like this & been looking for another to replace it, so glad I found this. It's very easy for my aid to wheel me from the shower to the bed.
It was easy writing about a good product.

Guardian Drop -arm Commode
Following hip replacement surgery my husband used a product much like this in rehab. Upon arrival at home, he continued using a transport board as trained at rehab to go from wheelchair to the commode and visa versa. A few days later we switched him going from a wheelchair to walker to commode. Then a few days later we placed the commode over the toilet and gradually took away the bucket and splash board. We find the wheel locks and arms to be very sturdy. Our walk- in -shower has a graduated sloap at the entry (1-1/12 in.); we are working on a way to get the area level so the commode will go smoothly into the shower...open to any suggestions!

Very useful, just what I was looking for. Perfect for my current needs.
Versatile, but lacks toilet paper holder
The commode is very versatile. Height adjusts low enough for < 5' tall person. The swing away arms work well and lock securely. The wheels are a little tough to unlock, you need some foot coordination due to the small are that must be pressed.
