Product Quality is Not Acceptable

The holes did not align with the correct hole placement. I have been a contractor for 35 plus years and have installed a resin unit about 12 years ago. This unit is inferior. I had a base, level and the roof panels did not align.

This is a nice complete good size shed. I think they should improve the vent covers they just give you a triangle cut out piece of screen and some screws. The screw twist and tear the screen and they don’t hold it down flush and tight. We had to use some sealing tape to seal the edges of the screen otherwise insects and other things can easily enter through vents. Also make sure your foundation is level. There are panels that are labeled the same but they don’t always fit in places the way they should we put the roof together only to have to take back apart because two panels labeled exactly the same had to be switched for roof to lock in place they were just a tad different. Overall it will do what we need it to do. It has plenty of space. Do wish it had a window or two the roof skylights are ok. Quality seems good but we just put it up see how it does in a north east winter. We are fanatics about removing snow from roofs but we will see how it does.

All pieces arrived undamaged with none missing. Assembly instructions were good and they have an assembly video that was also helpful. Assembly was quick, about 7 hours with three of us working. The shed looks great, is watertight and very high quality. It is also made in America so we feel good supporting the American economy and American jobs. Great product, we are happy with the purchase.

Cannot get the roof to align properly.

When I opened the boxes 2 of the roof pieces were warped, and now they won’t align properly. I called to get 2 replacement roof pieces to get my shed together, and they told me since I didn’t purchase it through sun cast I didn’t have a warranty. It was going to cost me over $300 to get the 2 roof pieces annd shipped. I can’t afford that after what I paid for the shed. I have never had anyone ever tell me that before. I was totally brand new in 2 boxes.

This shed is perfect for our needs. We have it on a gravel pad that we leveled next to our garden. It was straight forward to assemble and the individual pieces are lightweight and easy to maneuver, although a second person is needed. We have the lawn mower, tiller, wheel barrow, 3 bikes, 2 shelving units with various gardening supplies and a stand that holds our long handled gardening tools. All fit well. the doors are easy to open and shut and came ready for a padlock for security. We've had it for a year and no issues at all, even with wicked storms, heat, snow load and the occasional tornado. It's a tidy little shed.

LOVE this shed. I had a platform already built so I just had to put the shed together. The instructions say 2 people needed, but I was able to put it together all by myself. Granted, it took about 10 hours to do so, but I did it! Quality is good but will update this to review to see if the shed withstands the test of time. Instructions were simple as well! I would highly recommend this shed to anyone looking for a fun DIY project. FYI: some of the quotes I received from contractors to put the shed together were in the $800-$1000 range!

Got this on sale for I think 1000() about a year ago. Worth every penny. YOU MUST PUT IN THE TIME AND EFFORT IN A GOOD AND LEVEL FOUNDATION. You must ALSO put time and effort into the base as it instructs. Don’t forget pressure treated wood and vapor barrier. I also bought the 3 ft extension. I used crushed gravel. Let me tell you.. that’s 70 of the work. Putting this shed up with just me and a buddy was 100 doable. We’re not in the construction field.

The hardest part is the site prep; concrete pad or wooden frame with plywood both work, long dimension recommended is 10feet2and1/4inches. Besides that this shed kit is as easy as they come. The roof is surprisingly watertight, you'll know what i mean when you put the roof together. it's made from a lot of plastic and metal parts, but they fit well so none of our legendary rain has got thru yet.

This shed is very nice and spacious! I was worried I wouldn't have a foundation put together in time or even know how to build one. This shed does not require a cement foundation. At the last minute, someone mentioned getting pallets. I wasn't too sure it would hold the 500 lb. shed. I put together 9 pallets (great condition and FREE in my area) and bought 10 half-sized cement blocks to get off the ground along with 4 sheets of plywood to screw to the pallets. I took a very thick tarp and screwed to the plywood with an overhang to the ground. Once placed on the foundation, make sure to purchase long screws to anchor the shed to the foundation (anchor slots are inside the shed). You'd never know what was underneath. The foundation left a nice one-foot border on all sides and it looks fabulous! I'm being as detailed as I can as I had no clue how to go about all of this. :) If you can afford to pay for the assembly, do it!! The assembly company sent one person and it took him about 3-4 hours. I would post a picture if I had the option.

Fantastic! Buy this

Took 2 women all day to put together. We used pavers as the base instead of a concrete slab. *Make sure the base pad is level before beginning. We did not use a rubber mallet just a tap with our feet. All parts were included as well as directions. Everything is pre cut to just line up and screw in (cordless screwdriver was perfect). The biggest pain was the screen and lining up the screw holes for the skylights.

NOT GOOD QUALITY, SAD BUT TRUE

The storage shed "looks nice," but we're actually very concerned about the quality and ability to last for very long. To start with, the instructions are horrible! Secondly, some of the holes for the screws were not fully hollowed. Thirdly, the front handle is poor quality; the right handle screws did not fit correctly and the handle came off. We're now using it with just the bolt! Finally, the shed leaks; we've had two rainstorms and have found items inside wet along with the floor having a few puddles in it. My husband most definitely put it together correctly; he's an engineer and also a carpenter. The quality of this over-priced shed leaves a lot to be desired. We wanted to really like this shed a lot; especially given the cost of it!!!

Hard to be more disappointed in the quality of this shed. Bought to replace a 13 year old Rubbermaid shed that was damaged due to neighbor fire. All Suncast plastic floor/side/roof panels are significantly thinner. Especially critical for the floor. Everything is fastened together with ~1/2" long screws (hundreds of them) into soft plastic. The screws are extremely easy to strip the soft plastic. In spite of being extremely careful with the install, one door window already came unsecured due to screws not staying secured into the plastic (I think due to south-facing exposure...had to epoxy the window to the door). Rubbermaid panels are far more robust and use large, rectangular, rigid fasteners to lock panels together....far easier/faster/reliable construction. Some of the Suncast panel retailers are larger plastic screws, but even those wouldn't bite into the panel threads consistently, I had to put electrical tape on some of the threads to get the screws to bit at all.

Nice extra storage shed for the bikes. Assembly was very straightforward and took about 5 hours working alone. This does not include time to construct the wood frame base that the shed sits on. You need to be very careful not to over tighten the little screws that hold most of the shed together as they will strip out very easily. The only problem I encountered was at the very end when I installed the doors and door latch; things didn’t line up correctly. I had to use a mill file and make the latch hole a little more oval for the latch pin to slide in easily. Other than that, things went very smoothly.

The issue I had with the whole experience was the delivery of the product to my house. I waited for a month and half for the product to arrive. Overall, the product was easy to understand and assembly. You should take the time to prep the parts for the joists, doors, and roof as each have their own time needed for assembly. I took one day getting all the parts in order and built inside my garage. Then a week later I assembly the entire structure. I had purchased a base below with another company to help keep everything level. Each part slid in or snapped with a rubber mallet if needed. I did assembly it by myself on a very humid day. I had purchased the basket shelfs, storage shelfs, and tool hangers separate on the inside. I did have to seal some open holes around the inside of the perimeter to keep the bugs out. I will spray bug defense as well. Based on past experience with other resin sheds this was an easy one to put together in my opinion as long as you have a level base to secure it on.

Very nice shed . Would buy again.

Ordered this shed on line . Walmart and Menards had the best prices. It comes in two large boxes which I had picked up from the store using a trailer to haul it. First, you will need a concrete or wood framed foundation. That is a process. First I notified the utility company to check for underground wires which they did, so I wasn't putting the shed over underground wires. Then ordered gravel and cement for my contractor to form and complete the foundation. With that finished, my 14 year old, size zero, granddaughter and this 77 year old 5 foot grandmother unloaded the boxes and laid them out neatly. Gathered two ladders, two drills, tools recommended, and directions. I had viewed a u tube video of installing this shed and this was very helpful . I had also printed the assembly directions ahead . There were also directions that came with the shed, but I was able to review them prior to opening the boxes. I assembled the skylights, the metal rafters, vents and laid the floor out the day before. I also checked that all the parts were present. The day of installation , my sister and I put the shed up in less then 4 hours. We were lucky it was not hot, raining or windy out. I had the shed anchored to the cement after it was installed. We did not have any issues with installing the shed following the directions and I am happy with the results. There is an extention that was sold out everywhere, which I would have added if it were available, but without it , I still can put our 6 foot long , nearly 5 foot wide riding lawn mower in it, and several other trailers, sprayers, hose reel, power washer etc. The door opening is 5 foot wide and was a must have for the lawn mower to drive in.

With the price of building materials going through the roof these days. We decided on this shed cheaper than a raw material shed while being maintenance free, but don't get me wrong its still pricey. This is a good size shed, even though this is our second. This shed will be used primarily for garden supplies and outdoor supplies i.e some camping gear, yard games and bicycles.

Good size shed, seems well made and happy with the result. We won't be storing anything really heavy, but I still recommend a good foundation (wood or concrete) - which adds significantly to the cost so factor that in. There are a few videos on the web that can give you a bit more comfort with assembly and you can download the directions to get the plan for the base. Follow the directions closely - particularly the subfloor. The marked spacing on the joists is not center-to-center, which I missed at first. Though they recommend 2 people, I assembled it alone without too much difficulty, but a second person would have made it go faster. I spent about 3 hours on the foundation, about 3 in pre-assembly, and then another 3-4 or so actually building and adding shelves. As several folks noted, pulling the roof down tight enough to screw is tricky, but I used a ratchet strap across the roof and it worked well. Definitely some gaps that might lead to insects getting in so caulking is a good idea. Overall happy with the result. Hope it holds up.

I have never assembled one of these kits, so I followed the directions step by step from the product manual. I like that the manufacturer included a printed copy of the installation manual, instead of download your own option. We opened the 3 boxes first to make sure that all of the inventory and parts were present. Next, assembled the tools suggested for the build, as described in the pamphlet. Would recommend a power drill for most of the metal fittings. A special tool is provided for the plastic bolts that are to be used on specific areas of the shed. Do not use the power drill for the plastic screws. This is mentioned in the pamphlet as well.
