2 cats - 2 diets - No Problem

Have a cat with a prescription food and a kitten. These work great. Their Microchip opens them up for them to eat their own food.

Works well

Works well, bought 3 for three cats. All cats understood how to use it quickly! What pulls down the rating, however, is that to use the app and several of the features that are marketed, you need to buy a "hub", for over SEK 1000.

Expected more

For the price I expected more. While you can keep cats out of the food bowl, you can’t limit how many times and how much your cat with access will eat. So while you can measure the amount of food you put you can’t control whether your cat will eat everything in one go and just starve the rest of the day. The machine isn’t well executed as food keeps getting under the plate.

Great product and easy to use

Great product and easy to use. Felix (the cat) thinks it is great, especially when you have a feline friend who is a big eater and is not ashamed to eat your food. Then it was easy to learn too. Five paws?

Very difficult to clean, extra cost for no useful extra function

The regular feeder had been out of stock for months so I bought this one and I regret it so much. This is a NIGHTMARE to clean. Whoever designed it clearly never fed a cat. It has a ton of finicky little parts stacked on top of each other, with holes, so that food can fall through multiple layers. Worse, the battery case is not sealed, so if you try to wipe it with a wet towel, water will drip into your batteries and short out the system. Also, the "hub" is not wireless; it has to be plugged into a physical router and it doesn't provide any useful functions that a $10 food scale can't do better. Also, you can't place an ice pack under the bowl to keep food cool overnight like you can with a competing brand's feeder. Don't waste your money on this. The regular microchip feeder is much better.

Favourite product I've bought from pet circle

I absolutely love this, at first I didn't realise I needed to buy a hub for the full use of this product. But it is not needed and we still used it until we got the hub. We now have a sure care cat door (for our one indoor outdoor cat) and a water fountain. Love them all. I recommend this one as you can see how much your cat is eating. I had a cat fall sick and it helped me see if he was eating. I have one for my three non piggy cats, but would love to get one for each of them one day.

worst feeder ever

This product should never have been released from the manufacturer’s R&D department, it is absolutely trash. We spent hours trying to get it set up and it would not work. Hours calling for help with item. We ended up returning it and purchasing another feeder that was not ideal but at least it works. Chewy’s customer service was awesome and we appreciate their help.

Seems to cause Hiccups

I switched my two cats over to these feeders and it seems like they get hiccups a lot more than when they were using their old, slow feeder bowls. My oldest gets hiccups every time she eats. I'm trying to find something similar to their slow feeder bowls that can fit inside the microchip feeder but not having much luck

This Feeder Is a Life Saver!

We have 3 "chipped" cats that all eat different food. Two need expensive prescription food and they all want to eat from all the bowls. With these feeders, we can serve each cat their food in the appropriate portion & know the other cats will not be able to "raid" it. The feeders also keep the food fresh and clean. My only complaint is that the back protector piece is separate, a necessity for us because our cats would steal each others food!

Love it for my 3 cats

When I found out one of my cats needed to lose weight, I knew I wanted microchip feeders. This brand was the only one I could find so I gave them a shot. 2 cats adapted right away and my skittish guy took a little time to get used to them. But within a week or two all 3 cats were using the feeders. Two of my cats share 1 feeder just find but I do want to eventually get a 3rd. A lot of people complain that the Hub is sold separately, but I think it should be. For one it’s not required to use the feeders. You only need a Hub if you want to use the app which I do really like. Secondly, 1 Hub is good for up to 10 products. If it was only sold a set you’d waste money if you were buying multiple products. Overall I really like these feeders and highly recommend them.

High tech ripoff

I liked the old model. Now they added a weigh your food feature. They want you to buy a hub and use the app to do something simple like changing the speed of closure for the door. Ridiculous. Chewy is great but Surefeed makes a simple task into a big techie deal. If you need to weigh your food, great, but I have something called measuring spoons. $200 for a cat feeder! Both my cats are on different Rx foods and one would eat the other’s so this was the best solution but the older model was cheaper and did the job.

Love this feeder!

I have 2 cats that love to steal each other’s food and one that eats more than the other leaving her with very little food. I got this feeder and it works great. It only took Kepler a few days to get used to it at first. The only thing I don’t like about it is that you have to have the Hub to change the lid close time, which I didn’t realize when I first bought this as the other versions have it on the feeder itself. This causes my other cat to sneak in after Kepler gets done and eat some before it finally closes 15-20 seconds later. Other than that though, I absolutely love this feeder and definitely recommend it if you have cats like mine.

Sure Feeder

I purchased this bowl for my elderly cat (who has since passed) because we needed something to keep the dogs from his food bowl and he could no longer make the jump up onto the counter top to eat. This solved our problem until the dogs learned to just wait for the cat to open the feeder and then ever so gently sneak their heads in (they’re small dogs) and help themselves. And they weren’t sneaking in from the back or side. They were coming in through the front where the cat was and since the cat wouldn’t move the feeder stayed open. Many times eating the entire bowl of food. And even with our now new cat they continue the cycle because he does the same thing and sits and watches while the dogs gobble his food. Now this isn’t really the feeders fault. This is a matter of the dogs not having access to the feeder when nobody was home because mostly as long as I’m home they stay away from it. Overall all it was a very good investment for my elderly cat and continues to be for our new cat.

Received dirty product

My product had kibble crumbs everywhere on the product and the plastic was sticky with food residue. First of all if you're going to send a heavily used product, at LEAST knock some money off of the price because this was EXPENSIVE. Secondly, please make sure the product is at LEAST clean before sending it. This was so gross to unbox and was NOT easy to clean. I'm a regular customer here at Chewy and was thoroughly disappointed with this.

DOES NOT COME WITH BATTERIES OR HUB. They should include this in the description!

A purrfect pet bowl!

I saved up and purchased 2 of these food bowls and the hub for my 2 cats. One of which scoffs all food immediately and the other likes to snack throughout the day. I have noticed now they both are calmer around food as only they can access their food bowl. It really is a great product! My cats adjusted to them straight away, I get notifications of when and how much they eat (Which you can turn off). The app shows you all feeding analytics and allows you to set up scales for each bowl to easily refill each day the amount they need. Set up was relatively easy, and I am not tech-savvy at all. I love them and am so happy I got them.

Feeder rfid chip

It works great!. Have not used the scales though. Did not buy the hub. I have only one cat I use it for. Set up was easy. Don't like the fact I can't recharge it. It takes 4 c batteries. Spend the time with treats to get your cat use to the door opening. Gives me peace of mind that my cat can eat when ever without the other 6 animals getting at his food. Thank you

Would not recommend.

This thing doesn’t come with batteries included. Doesn’t work with rechargeable batteries. Didn’t come with a Hub. Doesn’t work without purchasing a Hub (sold separately). Don’t keep other pets from sneaking in unless you buy an additional accessory to seal the rear.
