Inaccurate and Disappointing
Scale readout displays 0.1g increments but the readout does not change at all when small amounts of ingredients, such as salt, are added to a bowl. I'm a cardiac patient and use a kitchen scale to track my sodium intake. I absolutely do not trust this scale and will need to purchase something else for the kitchen.
Poor quality
Just as a lot of people stated, this is a very inaccurate scale. It changes weight even as you watch. It doesn't matter what is on the scale. I don't recommend this product.
DO NOT BUY
Took a lot of time to buy this today. I never even got to use it because the screws that hold the access plate for the batteries could not be unscrewed. I tried and then my husband tried. We both failed. I hate that companies can't even get something as simple as this wrong and wasting my time like this is just unacceptable.
no.
this scale has been stupid since day 1. it's adding and subtracting without me even touching it
Scales
Great for getting my measurements for baking
Innacurate scale
Very inaccurate measurements, on this scale it said 75 grams and on a more accurate scale it said 67, the scale also kept changing measurements without adding or subtracting any ingredients.
Don't buy, Trash!
This scale is crap! When weighing out your food the number constantly changes. I can pour what I think is 80 grams of egg whites turn away and the number will go up or down. It does this no matter what I’m weighing and is very aggravating. Not to mention if someone is walking around or putting stuff on the counter the number fluctuates so much. Returning it and telling them to put it in the trash.
useless for what I needed it for
Says it measures to 0.1 gram but you need to put more than 2 grams worth of something on it before it doesn't read "0.0". Totally false advertising and a waist of time.
Horrible
Fluctuates even with nothing on it. Don’t waste your time.
Save your money! Not accurate at all.
The reviews were right, I should have listened! The accuracy of this scale is terrible. Numbers fluctuate even when there is nothing on it. Not reliable at all. Will be returning.
can't weigh small weights - 5 grams of salt
I bought this to have a higher weight capacity than my previous scale. I picked this model of the Taylor specifically for the water resistance. Should have read reviews. Seems to be ok for larger weights - it reads larger amounts ok, but can't weigh 5 grams of salt accurately, refusing to show any weight at all until it jumps from 0 to 3 grams, then is inconsistent about getting to 5 grams. Reading varies quite a bit - pick up the container with contents and put it down again and weight changes. Move the container around the platform and the weight changes. Push down with a finger onto the platform and remove your finger, and the weight doesn't return to the first value. Probably ok for 300gm flour, but definitely NOT ok for 5-10 grams of anything.
Not reliable/ can’t trust
So I have tried to use this scale when making home made pizza’s due to most recipes are in metric and the numbers don’t cross when doing dry goods like yeast so I have been trying to just use the scale and use metric measurements however this scale will not register small amounts like one gram two grams or even three I keep poring and doesn’t move the numbers on the scale till around 4.5 to 5 grams then if you remove the container and put it back it will not give the same number/ weight take it off and put back on five times and get 5 different numbers. This isn’t a problem to be a few grams off when measuring out 300 grams of flour but when it comes to the smaller amounts like yeast and salt and sugar it’s very important for it to be accurate. I wouldn’t buy this if you want accurate measurements at very low weights.
Fluctuating weight numbers
The scale seems to have a mind of its own, and continuously changes its mind on how much something weighs. A stick of butter went from 113g to 122g without even me moving it around. Once I did move the butter around on the scale plate, the scale read “113, 114.5, 115.7” just depending on the butter’s placement upon the scale. I won’t be taking any chances, and will be immediately returning this product.
dont reccomend
honestly i’ve used this for about a year now..the numbers are not accurate. they fluctuate and i could never tell if im putting in the correct macros. it annoyed me today more than ever so honestly i recommend finding something else
Ms
Does Not Work, I wish I would have read other reviews. The numbers fluctuate on the screen or continuously drop.
Unable to unscew to insert batteries
I couldn’t get the screws out to put in the batteries. (I totally know how to use a screw driver and even had my husband attempt.) I had to return.
Useless Scale. Do Not Purchase
This scale is junk. Do not buy. Shame on me for not reading reviews before I bought this in a pinch. All the same issues as reported by others. Weight decreases after initial load it applied. Remove the load and the weight increases. Shuts off during use. For a name like Taylor, this is the kind of product that tarnishes and turns customers away from the brand. Do better and let me get my money back.
Twitchy and unreliable
TL;DR: Unreliable piece of beautiful junk. Once the batteries were installed the scale started registering weight changes even with nothing on its surface. A finger touch to the side registered weight! When in actual use, leaving an object on the scale the weight visibly decreased. Tareing and adding content DID NOT REGISTER until a larger amount of stuff was added (15 grams). Then the weight started counting down! So we cannot use this scale as a scale. Maybe as joke gift but even then its just cruel.
Terrible
No stars. Biggest waste of money. Piece of junk scale.
Weight decreasing
I am currently sitting here and watching the weight decrease over time. How is it literally dropping ounces without moving? On a level and flat surface.
