Toilet seat replacement

Rec'd excellent phone support from a very courteous and knowledgeable young lady to help mount the new seat. Mod's were req'd to the toilet so her help was very efficient and helpful.

Good Option For Easy-Off Seat

Wanted to replace a seat that was also easy-off that would come detached too easily. So a little gun-shy of buying another easy-off design. This one stays put till you want to remove it, so good job. The mount from the top option relies on expanding rubber plugs that grip onto the mounting holes. I tried this mount but I didn't like how much the seat moved around, so replaced with the bottom mount option. Pretty happy with that. Seat is a little pricey, but good quality.

Easy installation. Love that seat can be easily removed to clean the bowl.

Avoid America Standard

The transaction, tracking and delivery was impeccable. The toilet seat, although it was the same part number as the original, was different, it had a design flaw that I had to correct by grinding the cover at the hinge. So I'm going to ban American Standard from my next purchases.

No way to know what color is what

Linen or beige or tan or bone or offwhite or cream or ivory or taupe or sand. Someone at AS should read Albee “the American Dream”. Wouldnt it be nice if you could buy a replacement seat to match your actual toilet? Unnecessarily annoying

Perfect replacement lid

Our fixture was 20 years old and it was difficult finding a quality lid replacement at the local box stores. Found this on line. It is a perfect option.

High quality. Thought it would be easy to install looking at YouTube videos but ended up getting a friend to do it. So much nicer than my old toilet seat which I thought was good quality. Colour matched perfectly with the toilet bowl.

Toilet seat quick release is bulky and makes it difficult to clean the toilet unless you remove the seat from the toilet each time. Over priced, flimsy and doesn’t fit the American Standard toilet very well.

Soft Close problems

I have 2 high end Townsquare S toilets in my home and had on each the traditional soft close elongated seats. Both toilet lids have snapped in the last 6 month from back hinge to almost complete front on their own. First one I wasn't home when it occurred. Second recently happened i was in the master bedroom when the master bath toilet seat lid broke. All I heard was this loud bang, went to inspect what happened in washroom the lid which was closed was snapped (single person household, no pets). Its obvious the resin the lids are made of aren't designed for the long term (near zero use, new model house but 6 years old, first occupant) pressure of the hinge spring for the soft close function.

Super dissappointed

I bought this seat 20 months ago and out of nowhere one of the hinges just broke. Only one person uses. Do not use heavy chemicals to clean. House kept at comfortable temps. It looks raggedy where it fractured and split.
