My use was for pendants over a large kitchen island. After much research I decided on these.....was very disappointed to learn they were back ordered. Did much research again and found nothing comparable for the look I was going for. So, I decided to wait. Wherever these fixtures are used in a home, I don't think there would be disappointment. After waiting four months for these back-ordered hanging pendants, I will say it was worth the wait. The lighting effect is stunning. Light comes through the perforated stainless steel on the fixture , and ample light is revealed below. I added LED bulbs. The pendant style is one of simplicity and sophistication. absolutely none

Perfect this time around!

Just like the first comment above, I replaced similarly styled lights that were low-voltage & had transformers. After replacing the transformers 5 times, I was totally fed up with them. The Tomahawk lights use regular light bulbs & have no transformers, and they have solved my problem completely. They look great in my kitchen & are very practical.

Excellent Replacement!!

I purchased this to replace a similiar fixture that had a transformer in it. I had replaced the similiar fixture 3 times due to defect in the transformer. This fixture has no transformer and uses a standard bulb. I am using a CFL bulb in it rather than a 60 watt bulb. I needed something with a metal shade because it hangs down the center of a pot rack in my kitchen and a glass shade would be subject to breakage. This design is perfect and is a terrific solution to the chronically defective product that I had purchased and replaced 3 times. This is a great product and if you are one of the people who I have read reviews on the similiar version with transformer issues, this one will solve your problems. The shade is larger than the previous version, but I'm happy with it, the style still fits my use very well and the size looks fine too.
