A Game Changer In The Kitchen
As a skillful chef and minimalist I am very careful and intentional with my purchases. This cookware has exceeded my expectations in terms of craftsmanship, even heat distribution, the weight, easy to grip handles, and well fitting glass lids. Plus, it's made in Brazil and not a dubious Chinese factory. Quality cookware is a game changer in the kitchen!
macy's description is wrong read this first
*****Short point***** The description is wrong the lids are only oven safe up to 350 degrees but the pots and pans without lids are safe up to 500 degrees *****Long Point****Per the description the item I purchased said it had tempered glass lids and was oven safe up to 500 degrees. The package arrived and the user manual said only 350 degrees. After having macy's send another one out the same problem was found. I called Tramontina and they said only the pots and pans with stainless steel lids are safe up to 500. Macys would not honor the description and send out the correct product that correlates to the description. All this being said The product is great probably the best set of pots and pans I have ever owned.
Love this cookware!
First of all, I was amazed at the speed in which I received my order. All the items were packed carefully and the order was complete. I am very happy with the cookware. It is beautiful, great quality and weight, and does not include chemicals as are in nonstick cookware (my primary reason for the purchase). It does involve changing the way you cook: no more high heat as that does cause food to stick, but starting at medium heat and then turning down to low works great. The tri-ply feature heats quickly and holds the heat very well. I have found that using a little oil spray first works best. If there is any food sticking to the pan after cooking, just let the pan cool a little and put water in the pan to soak a few minutes and then wash.
Parts broken. Nobody seams to care. Blow me off to manufacture because I bought it prior to my husband's birthday. Now they are not worried about making it right. Then I talked with another lady ,and she's inclined to believe I have a lamp when it's pots and pans with glass lids. Poor customer service .
Induction ready!!
We recently purchased an induction range and our current pots and pans were not magnetic,, so off we went on a blitz to find the perfect induction ready set!! After much comparison shopping and reading many reviews we soon learned that the Tramontina set was one of the top of the line sets,, without taking out a second mortgage!! They arrived very quickly and were packaged extremely well. They are beautiful. So far they have exceeded our expectations and we would definitely encourage anyone to purchase these!!
Blessed!
I am blessed to have a husband who loves to cook! We have been married for 46 years and of all the cookware he has used, this set is his very favorite, and currently the only set in our home. When we found out that our grandson (who also loves to cook) was getting married, we bought this set as a wedding gift. They loved it too! We would recommend this to everyone.👨🏻🍳
Disappointed
I've had this cookware for only a couple of weeks. Loved my previous stainless steel cookware from Sears, but I had to replace it since I bought a new induction stovetop. I chose Tramontina because it was rated high on New York Times Wirecutter. But I am very disappointed with the inner finish, which becomes discolored and scratches easily, even using the scrub side of a conventional sponge. Using BonAmi isn't much better. If I'd purchased it at a store, I'd return the set, but I guess I'll have to live with something that looks years old instead of the shiny new look out of the box.
I only used 1 of the pots and 1 pan a handful of times. Both items have discoloration on them and there is a spot surface damage on the pot, even though I haven’t cooked anything sticky in it. It has been only hand washed. I was expecting durability from a stainless steel set. This is very disappointing.
Tramontina Gourmet Cookware Set
I recently purchased the Tramontina 12-piece tri-ply clad stainless cookware set. The cookware arrived securely and carefully packaged. Each piece had bubble wrap around the handles and the pieces were separated from one another with cardboard. I have used the 8” sauté pan to make omelets and the 10” sauté pan to fry ground beef. I followed the recommendations to cook on low or medium heat and I did not have any problems with food sticking to the pans. I was amazed at how quickly the food cooked in the pans. I am more than pleased with my purchase and I would highly recommend this set to others shopping for a truly gourmet stainless steel cookware set. I also want to mention how beautiful the pans are!
Good buy
Love it.
Very Nice High Quality Cookware
Recently purchased the 12-Piece Tri-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Cookware Set with Glass Lids. After years of purchasing high-end non-stick cookware, I had had it with repeatedly having it end up with marred finishes and flaking interiors. Decided to go back to basics and purchase stainless steel. Part of that decision was based on the fact that my brother is still using my mother's stainless that was purchased in 1966. From all the research I did, this Tramontina cookware appeared to receive high ratings and was budget friendly. I cannot say how impressed I am with the set that I purchased! I am 62 and have to say that this is the nicest set of cookware I've ever owned.
Ehhhhh - follow up review
Received for Christmas gift from Walmart. This is my second go around with the 14pc tri ply all clad. SS from China. Tramontina CS replaced a lid (5 qt stock) that was warped out of the box as well as replaced the 2/2.5 quart which after first use developed odd white spots inside. CSR was very gracious and also sent me a 1/5 Q as a consolation prize. Cleaning as they suggest with soap and water and nylon sponge does not clean the inside of the pans. There is always discoloration and or some type of staining that occurs. Stainless steel should be....well..stainless. Not so with the pots and pans. Tramontina suggests from some link to season the pan with a little oil in the bottom - never heard of having to season a ss pan in my life! Cast iron sure; but not ss. Then they suggest barkeepers friend - okay fine - but one shouldnt have to use BKF every time you use a pan/pot! Fact is they are Chinese s.s. and not of the quality they profess nor do they clean up as they state. I use wooden and nylon utensils and normally cook on 2/3/4 setting on my gas stove. When Boiling water ill go to 5/6 for pasta - but hey thats only water lol. Overall - disappointed but unless you want to pay the all clad price - i guess this is the best substitute :(
