The Tramontina cookware set is beautiful and extremely well designed and made. The quality compares to more much expensive cookware sets.

the best stainless steel cookware set

I have been searching for a stainless steel cookware set for a few years now. I’ve had a hard time finding a set that was durable, well-made, and would last me a lifetime. Some sets were too cheaply made, others were way too expensive. Being picky made this a challenging feat. I took advantage of a Macy’s sale and purchased this cookware set from Tramontina. And let me tell you, I have nothing but good things to say about this set!!!! The quality is superb. They look and feel the same as AllClad pots and pans. The handles don’t get hot. Eggs slide off the pan very easily. The pots and pans wash very well. They are not too light, nor too heavy. This genuinely feels like a quality, well-made set. If you are as picky as I am, trust me, this set is for you. BUY IT NOW!

Way back in 1985 I received a set of Tramontina cookware for a wedding gift. I just redid my kitchen and I now have an induction cooktop. My original set, which was used on a daily basis and looked and performed beautifully, is not compatible with an induction cooktop. The kids divided the set among themselves! This new set is perhaps a bit lighter in heft than my old set and is quick to stain. I have been able to get the stains out though. I’m quite happy with it.

Durable and excellent for induction stoves.

The only cookware that I have had and has lasted forever. I realized the only cookware left in my drawer after other cookware has needed to be thrown out has been Tramontina. I am here to purchase remaining items to complete my collection. This cookware will truly last the rest of your life.

[Rewarded Review] Couldn't Ask For More

Now that I've had and used this cookware a little over four months, I think I'm able to give a fair review. My wife and I are in our late 60's and we agree that this is by far the best cookware we have ever had. Each piece is a little heavier than we're used to, but the wonderful design of the handles balances the weight to minimize fatigue. When set on a stove, the bottom of the pan heats evenly across the bottom (so no hot/cold spots). Clean up is a breeze, but we've (she's) discovered that if the pan is allowed to cool, washing is a lot easier. We've (she's) also discovered that if we don't cook at high temperature settings, this helps food from sticking.

Love how they cook!

I bought this set from Amazon and so far am loving its performance. Even for fried eggs the frying pan is remarkably non-stick! My only caveat is that it would be nice if the diameters were designed so that the pot lids would also fit the frying pans. Sometimes you just need to cover the frying pan!

I just got an induction stove and was forced to get new cookware. My husband searched for the highest rated cookware for my new stove and Tramontina was the recommended brand. So glad!!! I’m loving my new Induction stove and Tramontina cookware…Great combination!! I got the 12 piece set and couldn’t be happier!!

Glad I purchased this set. After much research on different brands of stainless steel cookware sets, I decided on the Tramontina based on reviews. A beautiful set! Quality is amazing! I did notice the inside of the pans tend to discolor depending on what food you cook, but a solution of water/vinegar or Bar Keepers friend will quickly resolve this problem. If you are used to Teflon coated pans such as myself, it will take some time adjusting to the nonstick surface. Overall, am pleased with my purchase and will never go back to Teflon coated cookware.

Bought 12 pc tri-ply clad gourmet set and used the big skillet and large stockpot to make chicken Alfredo. Watched videos and followed instructions to avoid food sticking to pan and worked very well . Food cooked evenly and easy to clean up afterwards. Really nice cookware.

Excellent quality and value

I first heard about Tramontina through a rating on America’s Test Kitchen and I bought a set. I love it, reasonably priced, well made, excellent quality. We recently bought a vacation home and I didn’ t hesitate, bought Tramontina for the new place. My spouse and I both really enjoy cooking and do pretty involved recipes. This is really chef quality cookware.

3-ply Clad Cookware

I bought this set based on a recommendation from The Wirecutter. It has not disappointed. I have followed the directions about using lower heat. I cooked a fried egg this morning in the small fry pan with no problem. I absolutely love the 12” deep sautée pan. If I had any complaint it would be that I would have preferred the 6qt braiser with 2 small handles, not 1 long one and 1 short one, to better fit into the oven, but that is really not a huge issue. This is a great set at a great value. I would purchase again and I have recommended it to others.

I was so excited to receive this cookware set to use on our new gas range. Everything looked great unpacking (although the box looked like it was opened before). I finally got the opportunity to use the 6 qt deep saute pan for the first time and when I went to wipe it down for the first time I noticed that the interior had "stuff" on it, as in previously used with an attempt to clean it. I turned the pot over and it had numerous scratches on it - obviously used!! The tip of the handle was scratched and chipped inside. I have bought from Wayfair for years and this is a huge disappointment for me, especially after paying $280 for the set. Quality Control needs to do a better job - when something is returned, check it out completely so it is not sold as a new item when it has obviously been used (and damaged!) Otherwise, it is a nice cookware set and I wouldn't have minded paying the price I did had it been NEW as stated.

was a christmas gift. most amazing set i’ve ever used or owned. people don’t understand that with stainless steel you have to cook at a lower temp. rainbow effect is a given when cooking and all you need is some vinegar and some dawn power wash and bam. just like new! most amazing set. absolutely love.

Best set I’ve ever owned

Beautiful set! I’ve had a chance to use all the pieces and I’m very impressed with the quality. These pans are not only lovely to look at they are well-constructed—sturdy without being heavy and the ergonomic handles are easy to hold (they’re also long enough to stay cool as they are not directly situated above the burner flame). The even heat distribution makes a high setting unnecessary and food cooks as expected. Clean up is easy with Bar Keepers Friend and a non-abrasive sponge. A home run!

Good Value for the Price

After reading some reviews I ordered a set of pans. Easy to see the negative reviews were from some that never read the instructions of the proper care and use if the pans. I have a new induction stove and have to say the pans are great. Clean up easy and look great. I had an older set of All Clad but would not work with induction. New set of All Clad vs this set for the price, this is a much better value for everyday use.

Quality made and sturdy

Was gifted this set in 2021. Ended up being the absolute best cookware I've ever used. Quality made and sturdy. Cleans up very well. I mostly hand wash but the occasional run through the dishwasher doesn't seem to affect the finish.

Nice Set

I needed new cookware when I got an induction stovetop. After much searching, I decided on these. I definitely do not regret my decision.

Nice for cooking...not for cleaning

This set looks fantastic out of the box, and my husband who likes to cook much more than me was so excited to use them. He has been impressed so far, and says they cook so evenly. However, I am the one that washes them, and I am not a fan. They are so hard to clean! I get that I am used to nonstick, but we also use a lot of cast iron and that is way easier to clean even with having the extra step of seasoning it. I had seen that sometimes you may have to use Bar Keeper's Friend on these, and even with that sometimes I struggle to get them clean (and that is not anything burned or scorched on the pans, just from regular cooking). One time we did make something that slightly scorched and I literally spent 30 minutes cleaning the one pan!! And then they just spot so easily, I feel like they will never look as good as they did upon opening the box. We do have kind of hard water, but even using softened water and towel drying they just spot right away. This is my first stainless steel set so I have nothing to compare them too, but I personally wouldn't buy these again. For this amount of money you shouldn't dread using them for fear of what the cleaning process will be like, or how long it will take.

Discoloring

Not much on sending in reviews, but this purchase was very disappointing. May be me but never had a pan/pot or any cookware discolor with boiling water for pasta. Customer service was a laughable. Days to respond with little to no answers other than "Oh this is how you can remove the rainbow effect, or use some sort of chemical to clean them. After several emails back and forded between the company and showing photos, I finally gave up and donated them to a local homeless shelter to use. They felt good, looked good until you cook with them for the first time.... Sorry but a mistake I will not make again.
