This device wears out quickly. I have to repurchase this yearly because of leaky toilets. Also, the chain between the flush arm and canister will get kinked often, usually at the worst possible time like 3:00am or going on vacation, which will make the toilet run until rectified. Lastly it is very difficult to turn that enormous nut that fastens the canister to the toilet. There are no available tools that I am aware of that open that wide.

I ordered the wrong one!

Unfortunately my kit did not match my toilet, so the man fixing it for me had to order the correct part which came quickly and he was able to install it and now everything works great!

There was a label inside the toilet tank giving the part number for my leaky flush valve. Even though the toilet is about 12 years old, that part showed right up in Home Essentials Direct. I was able to do the repair in just minutes because of the modular nature of the entire valve assembly. I don't care that I didn't need 1/2 of what they sent me, I'll keep it just in case. This is just an amazing experience compared to what a person would have had to do in prehistoric times. By the way, if there is a label inside your toilet saying don't use clorox tablets inside the tank, believe them!
