POOR VALVE/CATRIDGE DESIGN -(#35015001)

If allowed I'd have assigned minus 3 stars stars to this product. Purchased Universal Pressure Balance Rough-In valve, model # 35015001 from HomeDepot, Jan '23. Three weeks ago the Vitalio Flex shower started to leak slowly, and as of this writing is getting to be a continuos flow. I have since closed the service stop valves. A new catridge (#47995000) has been ordered, but I've been told the delivery will be perhaps by the end of September.

Do not order

Discontinued, how do I replace cartridge that leaks every two years. Garbage product.

Leaky

It leaked from the tub spout after the first 6 months and continued to leak after 2 more cartridge replacements. Just claimed warranty for another cartridge replacement. Hope it fixes it.

Had to buy it .. but I must say, even if it's behind the wall, the quality and the ease of installation all add to the new shower experience.

Poor reliability

Product has been installed less than 6 months. Replaced cartridge because of constant drip. New cartridge only lasted short time and same problem again.

Sent two different valves which caused great confusion. Was unclear what gen rough-in went with what trim set. Also, needed to order another part to make this fit -- additional $, lost time, and frustration from GROHE which is typically rock solid. Customer care was helpful, but again, either sell rough-in with dedicated trim. or make it clearer!

Do not buy this item.

In the last 3 years since we installed GROHE, it's the THIRD time I have had to replace this part.

Defective / leaky

Cartridge stopped working after 3 years, replaced with a new one which was very difficult to find and it started leaking.

This is fine and we bought it because Wayfair said it was needed for use with our grove shower faucet. The plumber disagreed and so we have as a paperweight. Please make sure you really need it before buying.

Perfect

I bought this valve because I thought I would need it for the shower system I also purchased. Not so. I hang onto fixtures like this for the next possible job.

Not the latest so needed to call Grohe in order to get an adaptor to have more options for faucet trim.

Never needed and there was not used.

Very sturdy product. I always use GROHE for my replacement faucets because the quality is so consistently high.

Grohe is good stuff

This is the only Grohe shower valve that works with the Grohe Concetta shower trim kit, which has been discontinued. Grohe customer service us great to work with when you need replacement parts or help matching their valves with available trim kits.

Ended up not needing it

Old outdated valve that apparently wasn't compatible with the trim kit I got and the trim kits that did fit it (less than 10) were pretty lame. So this got chucked and replaced with a newer model.

Product functionality.

My plumber liked this part which he says works better.
