The bookcase was exactly what I was looking for. I needed something to fit in a small alcove and this not only fits but the design, quality of workmanship and aesthetics of it is perfect.

Perfect for the Space

This allowed a small bedroom sitting area to have some books for reading amd doubleas a night stand.

High quality. Looks great. I thought the book space would be a bit larger, but I didn't realize the space allowance for the legs lessened the storage area.

The finish is uniform even on the undersides and back. The assembly went smoothly. The parts all line up perfectly and the screws are nicely machined so they didn’t break or get stuck. The manufacture and quality control were spot on. I’ve put together 3 of these and they look the same.

Great little bookcase

This was the perfect compact bookcase to add to the end of my home office desk. It came carefully wrapped with no damage and was fairly easy to assemble and blends well with my office furniture.

Love the small bookcase. It’s perfect to use in our newly remodeled bathroom. Holds extra towels, rolls of toilet paper, etc. We’re pleased with the high quality of the piece. Highly recommend it.

it is a typical darker cherry in finish. rather easy to assemble in just a few minutes of time. more sturdy than I was expecting. It is a bit costly but it is worth the extra money given it is more substantial than most other types of bookcases you find.

I'd rather buy American.

I wish the bookcase could have been manufactured in a country OTHER than China. Perhaps there would be a higher level of craftsmanship (especially the finish). And perhaps all of the hardware would have been included in the hardware packet.

Excellent customer service

I ordered the No Room for a Bookcase which is perfect for a small space. I am 77 years old. The assembly was impossible because a crucial hole was drilled in the wrong place and didn’t match up. I couldn’t fix it and packing the parts all up and sending it back was not possible for me. I was so disappointed! When I emailed Customer Service some photos of the mismatched holes, they sent me another bookcase right away without requiring the other one to be sent back. I put that one together easily and it is beautiful.

Very attractive storage for books and supplies in my meditation/altar space. And it's just the right height for a lamp to brighten that dark corner. Sturdy and heavy for its size.

I mainly bought this for it being small but seeming deep. I was able to fill two rows of books into each level. It was very easy to put together. You could do most of it alone but just need one person to hold the top part because it is hard to screw in because of the top level being wider. You're not given a screw driver to screw in the pieces but it could be done by twisting with your fingers but it will take longer. Overall worth the price and it looks very high quality.

Very nice, but also a bit disappointing

This is an attractive and useful bookcase. I have it behind my sofa, holding mostly large art books. My only issue is that--in the photo--it appears to be glossy black, but is actually matte black. I was looking forward to the glossy finish.

This is a very attractive small bookcase. It was extremely easy to assemble. The wood is attractive, and the bookcase is very solid. Wayfair delivered this to our front door very quickly.

The color is NOTHING like the bookshelf shown in the photo online. Very dark grey & does NOT go with our decor. VERY disappointed. We haven't even put it together. We now have to repack it & pay over $20 out of pocket to return it, so we'll have no bookshelf, plus we'll have lost over $20. Won't buy from Birchlane again.

This book shelf looks just like pictured. Was super easy to put together, less than 5 minutes from start to finish. Looks great. Little smaller than expected, doesn't fit very large books. Good value for the money. Serves its purpose.

Good product

I use the bookcase in a small area next to my kitchen for my cookbooks. Purchased this particular one because it fit the space. Assembled easily except--it was missing one screw. Wish the hardware packing quality control had been spot on. And pricy.

Okay

Mystery solved: the book case is white. It matches the plumbing appliances in the bath where I put it. It seems sturdy, not too hard to put together, its a bit more "plasticky" than I expected.

Gorgeous addition to my kitchen

I love this bookcase! I put it at the end of my kitchen counter to hold my cookbooks. The color and style make it look as if it was designed with my kitchen. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because the shelves have a lip (bigger on the top shelf) that makes it difficult to slide in my taller cookbooks. Overall, though, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

LOVE it!

First, item is darker than shows in photo. Darker color actually makes the table look richer, so it was a nice surprise. I was looking for a small table to be used as a TV stand in a guest bedroom, but also wanted a table that flows with the bedroom decor. I didn't want a solid 'block' TV stand look. The open sides makes the room look open & bigger. TV on top with decorative items on the shelves which hide the cable line. Table is diagonal in corner near window with a curtain which also hides the cable line. The table was very easy to assemble. There were no flaws, nicks, etc (which has happened when buying other assembled type furniture). Very happy with purchase!
