Don’t waste your money on a touchless

I absolutely love the look of this faucet but the touchless feature is useless. I’ve had several touchless faucets and this is by far the worst. I loved that the sensor was under the faucet neck vs on top or on the side. I thought by it being under the faucet neck it would help with water spotting on the neck but you can’t wash dishes or drain a hot pot of water without the sensor turning on or turning off. It senses the steam and activates. I had to manually turn off the feature I paid so much for. Kohler’s answer was to drain the pot away from the faucet, which is true but washing a dish or rinsing a dish in hot water also sets it off. Filling the sink with hot water sets it off too. Also the faucet can completely spin around so if someone accidentally turned it and the sensor activated, you’d have water all over your counter. It is a beautiful faucet and it is well made and heavy but it needs some reengineering to make it functional. If I’d known about the overly sensitive sensor activation, I’d had bought the same faucet, much cheaper, without the sensor.

Tempted by Touchless

Love the touchless feature. This faucet replaces my Kohler Vinnata where the little rubber pad wore out in the head. Was easy to install but had to undo stuff like my garbage disposal under my sink in order to get to holes to set the faucet. If in doubt, watch a you tube video online first before installing.

Bad faucet sensor only works for two week and stopped working

Bought this faucet spend $250 for installation and the faucet start malfunctioning,tuning on but itself, and finally sensor stopped working.

I've always wanted a motion sense kitchen faucet and the Kohler Artifacts pull-down faucet offers it all: great looks, motion sense and pull down sprayer. I'm remodeling our kitchen and can't wait to install this "state of the art" kitchen faucet in our new kitchen sink! We made sure a power outlet was installed below the new sink for the disposal and small adapter to power the motion sensor electronics integrated within the fixture. The Kohler faucet is well made and has a beautiful chrome finish. Item comes with sensing electronics, valve, installation instructions and everything needed for normal installation.

The faucet is taller than most others I've seen. That could be good for filling tall pots but it's too high from the sink for my preference. The finish is great. Seems to resist water stains and fingerprints. Very country kitchen in style. It's "nice" but not spectacular. I think I expected more because of the brand name. Average comes to mind, functional but not impressive.
