Did not come assembled.
The rails were easy to do and the instructions great. Every happy with the rail.
DECEPTIVE & MISLEADING PRODUCT PICTURE ON INTERNET
I ordered 2 units expecting to receive what was pictured, they came without the end post and caps as pictured, I wanted the units as pictured, website must be ordered seperately...after an extended phone call placed by your very helpfu staff in Alice, Tx we were told " just get lthem at your local lumber yard" I returned both. One package was so badly damaged in shipment that several pieces were missing I returned next day and the second was returned after the phone call to supplier on 5/28> really wanted product as pictured , however photo is deceptive as the end posts and cap are not available fromthat supplier so wood appearance woukd not be the same
Does not include everything needed for stair rail
The wood is nice. The connectors are very poor quality. The screws for the connectors require a square driver but and are too big for the holes in the connector. They do not include a square driver bit. The wood screws are the usual star head but the bit is not included either. Be aware the 4x4 is NOT included. I paid a total of $130 for this product, then had to go to another store to purchase everything to complete the project. .
Great kit for replacing old and rotted railings saves the hassle of measuring and mitre cuts
For the cost of the product , you would think the rsailing would have been put together as it was shown.
missing
Very easy to assemble but box was damaged and open at one end and mounting brackets and screws where missing
The cedar rail kit worked fine for my application.
The yellow pine rail kit had warped rails with stains and mildew. I was very disappointed in the quality of the yellow pine kit. I made do because I didn't have time to return.
Simply gorgeous. I would recommend this products.
Unfortunately after was delayed at UPS for 4 days, Took package home and opened. They sent the wrong ballistrades, metal instead of wood. I was under a deadline, so found some spare wood on property and created my own ballistrades. Really jad no time to return product and get proper items. Already waited almost two weeks for product. Of course very disappointed.
Nice railing
There is a notch that kind of hooks onto the braces on one end of the railing, we had to cut the lip off the notch to get the angle to work. But once we figured that out, this came together fast and beautifully.
Extremely dry. Split and cracked easily to the point that I tossed it to the burn pile.
The 2x4 main wooden pieces were bowed. Very noticeable when installed. Home Depot Should send new ones and use these for fire wood.
The instructions include are VERY vague and not very useful.
Not at all what I expected
Bought this stair railing kit expecting it would be more convenient than buying individual balusters and rails - convenient it was not there were no pre drilled holes, the quality was poor as well - 2 balusters were unusable owing to excessive bowing, the rail boards are notched but one board had the notch missing from factory cutting, the screws were not of top quality, the kit fortunately had many extras and you will need them. Plus I paid close to $90 per kit and a week later home depot reduced the price some $20 . Save your money and buy the individual pieces.

The screws weren’t the best quality—two broke, and I switched to some other deck screws I had on hand. The wood was good enough quality (slight warping and a few knots), and the color is perfect—a nice red-brown without being tacky. The instructions didn’t make much sense and the measurements didn’t work out on their instructions, so I laid the rails out myself.

It was exactly as described. Installation was only complicated by my trying to determine "exact" spacing of the balusters.
