Weber Traveler (not the "Mini")

The Weber Traveler a fantastic BBQ at an even better fantastic price. Appliances Online was around $100 cheaper than the Weber store as well. Sooo easy to put up and down and soooo convenient to pull out of the boot of your car for an impromptu BBQ away from home. Heats up well & we have already cooked steaks, sausages & a butterfly chicken - all juicy, moist and tasty.

Weber is the best!

We loved our Weber 2200. Never failed us as we used it practically every night. The Traveler is a great replacement as we RV travel most of the year. Immediately bought the griddle for us to be able to cook outside more. Only have to have one item instead of 2.

Frustrated, Frustrated Frustrated

I absolutely love this when it works as it's intended. I bought for quick cooks at home and for tailgating. I have owned numerous Weber gas grills over the years, and I have owned this grill for two years. I had issues getting it to fire up when I purchased. I tried using portable gas canisters, and it didn't fire up. I connected two separate tanks, no luck. I bought a new hose with regulator, didn't work. I contacted Weber and was told that since I bought on Amazon, they couldn't send me a replacement, Although the grill was brand new. After being very frustrated with having a new grill that wouldn't work. I didn't attempt to use for several months. After reading reviews from others, I finally tried again, and after several attempts again switching hoses and tanks, it fired up. I used for a few weeks, and started having issues again. The grill starts, and then the fire just goes down to a trickle. Some days it fires right up, other times it just goes back to barely on. I still have to switch tanks and hoses, and it works about 50% of the time. Today was another one of those days, and it will not stapy on other than the "barely lit" mode. I am done. I love the portability and I love the grill when it works. But I have hated it at the same time for two years. I don't know what else to do. Frustrated, Frustrated, Frustrated.

Absolutely the best portable grill

Fantastic grill while still being portable. Large cooking area, cast iron grates, Weber quality, stable stand. Best feature it folds up and stands on end taking up very little space. I find clean up relatively easy and the disposable drip pan is a great feature.

Great grill but room for improvement

Great grill!! I’d def buy again and highly recommend. Love the portability and adapter hose option for larger tanks, however, I’m one of those who likes to keep things clean after every grilling and cleanup is NOT easy to do.

The hose just does not work

I called about a month after I purchased it, the customer service was very helpful, though their solution was to wiggle, connect and desconect the hose until it stopped making gas leaking noises. It did. But every time I change the gas bottle, every time I move it around, all the f time it stops working again, and I have to repeat the process hoping it will work again. It is not the quality I expected, and you can’t even buy a replacement hose in Australia.

[Rewarded Review] Great Everyday Grill + Easy Storage

This grill is ideal! We like to grill in the backyard and in the driveway. Once used, we store in the garage upright and it takes up no space! The build quality is fantastic and so easy to roll around. The grill space is very generous!

Weber is just hype, this is junk.

I fell for the hype of the brand and bought this on a great sale. This grill's gas regulator failed within the first 90 days. After replacement, which is super inconvenient, 25% of the burner tube clogged. I have cleaned out the line and individually poked every little hole, and the entire right quadrant wont light. So, I hate this PO and I wish I would have kept with the budget brand which rusts out before it breaks (>5 year life). Im 40 years old, and have never had to repair a grill - until getting a Weber. Big regret. Complete buyers remorse.

Awesome grill

Phenomenal portable grill that is designed perfectly and so easy to use and maneuver. The sleek black finish looks so great on my patio and the instructions come on Grill for anyone who has any worries about how to navigate the grill. I am so happy that I have this product and would recommend to everybody I know!!

Satisfaction in the end

Bought 1 while on vacation 6 weeks ago. After easy assembly and first use with great grilling I went to put it away as instructed and the rear shock mounts broke off and the shock bent destroying the shock and damaging the back rail. It took 2 days and several e-mails to find a pathway to warranty (no clear path) only to be told the damage was user caused and was advised of the parts and cost of parts that I!! Needed to order. I complained and was put on hold while they sought atherization to provide the parts. They confirmed they would ship the parts free of charge. When the parts arrived with instructions I noted that there were 30 steps that basically took you through complete disassemble and rebuild of the grill. As I didn't feel confident in doing this work and was afraid I'd end up with a pile of worthless parts I decided I would just cut my losses and leave the grill in the upright position for use as the grill still worked just no longer collapsed safely. I sent several further emails noting my dissatisfaction with the lack of accountability weber has take and that they expect the customer to be an assembly line worker to repair a brand new grill that failed first use. I have still not received any further response to those emails. I also took the opportunity to write a review that was basically the same as I wrote above. And to my surprise I received a email from a weber consumer care person noting my review and apologizing for my bad experience and asking if there was anything they could do? I replied well you could send me a new grill not thinking they would. But that is exactly what they did!!! It was ordered today. Although the path to warranty leaves much work in the end they did the right thing and I am very happy. I must also say other than the failed part it seams to be very well built and is a fantastic grill and I can't wait to have the new one delivered. I am very glad there are still some companies out there that stand behind there product!!

Great grille. Large cooking area but still portable. Love the collapsible feature, will stand on end and takes up no room when storing. Cast iron grates hold heat well. Weber quality is a positive.

Excellent Purchase

Its great. It gets pretty hot. I had it up to like 640. But it also cools quickly when you open it but that's pretty much the point. I got this to tailgate and don't need something that retains heat for 4 hours. I bought my first Weber about 12 years ago and have never looked back. They are the only grills I'll ever get.

Less-Weber Fan Now

I'm a huge 'Fan Boy' of Weber grills. Went all-in on the Traveler despite higher price for a portable grill (which is used far less than our home Genesis grill of course). I loved the design, and salesperson demo'd the self-lowering close feature with auto-clasp of the lid, securing the grates. 'Great!' - But the very first time I lowered it off the tailgate, the plastic C-clasp that's supposed to keep the lid and grates contained let loose and the popped open and the new grates fell to the asphalt in front of everyone and got buggered. Friends asked "How much did you pay for that?" So, now I strap the dumb thing with a Velcro wrap to keep it closed. Not cool, Weber folks...

Really cool features, but also lacking in functionalities of what it is intended for.

Really love the design. Extremely well thought out. The automatic latch is just a very nice design feature.

I am so disappointed. This cute little BBQ works 50% of the time at best. I've had engineering friends look at it and they think there is an issue with the gas line that connects to little green propane tanks. I contacted Weber and there have been a bunch of e-mails asking me to do gas tests, but it's very difficult since the canister is underneath the unit. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT'S CUTE BUT A PIECE OF GARBAGE.

great concept. lid opens sometimes when rolling it vertically so contents spill out. I use the official propane adapter to connect to a large tank. It doesn't allow for the tank to be turned off, it has to be completely unscrewed

Sturdy everday grill

I have a small patio and grill year round. I wanted a smaller grill. Easy set up out of the box. Worked with my large propane tank (and adapter) that I already had. Heats very quickly and easy to regulate temperature. I purchased knowing that parts will eventually need to be replaced and Weber will be available to help me fill that need.

Perfect size and weight, great cooking - IDEAL!

I LOVE this grill! It's truly changing my life. Before I had an enormous and very heavy Weber grill which is great, but with my uneven backyard, I was unable to move it, with the result that I never grilled, so what's the point? With this grill, I can easily move it around even on uneven surfaces, and the cooking surface is every bit as large as my previous large grill. Since I've bought it, I've grilled much more than I ever did before, because it's so easy to use. It also looks great - I absolutely love the blue color I bought. So handy that it folds up easily, but really it's a perfect primary grill for the backyard. The ideal grill!

Very Nice Compact Grill

Excellent product. Minimum assembly required. Just attach the wheels. Two screws and done. Was cooking on it 5 minutes out of the box. Weber quality build. Only one burner but produces all the heat you’ll ever need. Folds up and down effortlessly. A real winner!
