Works well as expected. At extreme heat, it has trouble holding to 77 degrees but slips about 3 degrees to 80. The room size at 500 sq ft may be slightly too big at extreme weather for the unit to cool to its set point. But it might be fine for a slightly smaller room or a better insulated room.
